Wiki Leaks, Catholics and Aliens

Recently I posted a thread suggesting any 'alien invasion' will actually be demons and Satans attempt at gaining the world.

Today.... it seems like the Vatican is in getting people to believe and accept aliens as being compatible with scripture. Part of the most rent Wiki leaks dump contains letters from people with Vatican connections. Excert from the article...
The first step, however, seems to be to have religious people accept the fact that ‘ET’ doesn’t have to contradict what*
they believe in.
.....
The existence of these beings is real. We can’t have doubts.”

Do you think the Vatican and 'aliens' may play a part in bringing a temporary peace on earth?

It would be a false peace before the real tribulation

I don't know why any thinking person would want alien life to come to earth.

Our own earthly history tells us that could be disastrous in terms of disease and viruses that acquired when a foreign people moved in among indigenous people.
And not to mention any plants or animals they bring with them that can cause an upheaval of balance.

I suppose that "they" believe that "those" who already believe in the Supernatural will more easily believe in "Aliens."

Maybe the Aliens are already here and they are replacing people in Gov't and church hierarchy with alien "look-a-likes."
Then the Space Ships will come and our leaders will announce the ships are here to take Christians to heaven.

But really they will take you to another planet to be eaten.

This seems like a familiar plot of an old movie I saw years ago.

Why would the mere possibility of alien life be incompatible with the Christian faith?
The creation account has the heavens created for the purpose of man (For signs and seasons..... and as a form of worship)
Scripture tells us that all creation groans, as part of a decay process that is tied to Adam's sin.* So, to believe in aliens you would believe that God is punishing them for Adam's sin..... and that they are lost for eternity since "Last Adam" was crucified, then resurrected, to save the descendants of "first Adam".

Really? Link to a Vatican document and prove it then, not to some goofy dimwitted website.
Here: vatican.va - search for a document. There's tons of stuff there.

I think YOU'RE an alien, from the planet Moron.

Why would the mere possibility of alien life be incompatible with the Christian faith?

It would not.

Meet the pope’s astronomer, who says he’d baptize an alien if given the chance

Agreed.

The same as a turtle? Or a toad?

Why would the existence of a toadlike creature on the other side of the Milky Way have any bearing on Christian theology?

Do earthly toads contradict Christian doctrine?

Turtles and toads are not the intelligent beings that we were talking about. But, yes turtles and toads do suffer the consequence of sin. (Pain, suffering, disease, extinctions, death).

We were talking about intelligent beings capable of intergalactic travel.
Do you think the Popes astronomer who says he would baptize aliens, was thinking about baptizing toadlike creatures? He obviously was thinking of intelligent beings, (who would have to be far more intelligent than us). And he was obviously concluding that they would be moral beings with a soul.

Glassjester.... the belief in aliens is an offshoot of atheism. They believe that if life came into existence without an Intelligent Creator, here on earth; then surely life came from nonlife elsewhere in the universe. Billions of dollars have been spent searching for aliens. If 'aliens' set foot here on earth, we can be sure they are fallen angels / demons posing as a source of good to decieve people into worship of false gods.

However... we know that there is Intelligent life out there, beyond the Milky Way...and that earth will be visited. Our Holy, omnipotent onniscient Creator will someday return to take us up.*"Behold, He is coming with the clouds, ..." 1 Thess 4:17

And? So what. What does that prove. What would YOU do if you met an alien. If you believe God created all things then you have to believe that God created that alien too. Would you shoot the alien? Why not baptize him. WHAT WOULD JESUS DO! Why is that so crazy. You're such an anti-Catholic jerk. Stop being an imbecile with your conspiracy theories. Maybe you think the Pope is hiding aliens in the basement too. LOL

Do you think that's impossible?

If an intelligent alien species became known to us (highly unlikely), would it in any way affect your Christian faith?

There are some people who view aliens as saviors who will save both people and the earth from destruction. The people who believe this claim to be in contact with these aliens and that they receive information and instructions from them. This goes against Christian theology and the number of people who accept and believe this is growing.
