I plan to put holes in my rug and calluses on my knees through praying, a LOT.
None of that is accurate. In this dispensation there would be no sign of anything in any way whatsoever that would be a precursor to the end of the dispensation.
I thought you at least had some knowledge on this topic. No?
Health care for all will be realized. After a brief uptick in healthcare costs, the cost will come down a bit and be relatively stable.
Greed, pettiness, and Christianity will slowly subside.
I agree with you here though the right may continue to try and fight healthcare reform, sadly.Health care for all will be realized. After a brief uptick in healthcare costs, the cost will come down a bit and be relatively stable.
Wishful thinking on your part. No election is going to cause those things to disappear.Greed, pettiness, and Christianity will slowly subside.
Well then... go yell at Hal Lindsay.Hal Lindsey is the most famous dispensationalist to do this.
The conservative vision is decaying in a way I wouldn't describe as "gradual".The conservative vision will gradually decay. Thank goodness.
You'd think that would be more satisfying than it is, but he's 82 and hard of hearing so he mostly just thinks people are trying to have conversation. lain:Well then... go yell at Hal Lindsay.
You have just proven to me that I am incapable of discernment.

You should change your username to Ozymandias. The only sure bet is that humans will go on striving after brass rings, mostly missing and that God will still be there when we do, even if you'd rather He not be.Health care for all will be realized. Or maybe just that we disagree? I would stop posting here before I'd knowingly offend you. If I've done that, my apologies.

“Is the implosion of America more or less likely now?” by Joel Rosenberg] "(Washington, D.C., November 7, 2012) -- Waking up the day after the 2012 elections, I had many questions on my mind. But none so pressing as this: Is the implosion of America more or less likely now?Yup!
No. And I don't believe your characterization is accurate either. But in any event, no....1. Did Mr. Obama win because America is becoming more liberal, more secular, more hostile to Biblical values and those who hold them? That is, are we losing the battle for the soul of America, and should now expect more liberal political leaders to dominate the American scene in the years ahead?
Because the right wing extreme is a difference maker in primaries the way moderates are in the general election Romney had to pretend to be something he isn't. The result was that when he tried to then sell who he actually is he had credibility issues the White House could use to its advantage. And in a close race that was important.2. Or, did Mr. Romney lose because he was a flawed candidate, who made numerous unforced errors, flip-flopped on numerous policy issues, and campaigned as a conservative when he was in fact a Massachusetts moderate? That is, could a truly principled, experienced, articulate, conservative, orthodox Christian leader be able to persuade a majority of the country to change course?
I bet that nearly doesn't factor. His numbers looked a lot like McCains. Romney brought in (so far) around 57 million while McCain had around 59 million. The President had about 69 million against McCain and around 60 million against Romney.5. What significance did Mr. Romney's Mormonism play in the decision of born-again Christians not to vote for him? That is, did many Christians refuse to vote for Romney for religious reasons, and if so, how many?
I don't think they were exactly off the mark. I think they were misleading in an attempt to stir up the vote and keep pushing the notion of an upward trend. The numbers and polls were mostly blunderbuss, which is to say had more to do with the popular vote, where the plus or minus could give Romney a win.6. Why were GOP and conservative pundits so wrong, so far off the mark, and what role did wishful thinking rather than sound analysis play in their predictions (especially when the Real Clear Politics average of polls showed Obama pulling ahead of Romney in the last few days)?
Back? What was the last decade where you think we were something more than a nation of struggle toward an idea with serious character flaws?7. Considering all the data, is the implosion of America more or less likely today, and will the Church in America wake up and repent and call the nation back to Christ before it's too late?
Well, if slavery and wholesale massacre of Native Americans is any indicator we have decades and decades to go.We are at a very vulnerable moment. I can't say that the implosion of America is imminent. But how much longer will God be patient before He decides to judge us for 54 million abortions, a celebration of homosexuality, rampant heterosexual immorality, marital affairs, separations, divorce, the implosion of whole families, rampant pornography, unprecedented murder and violent crime rates, massive deficits, unfathomable debt, and a weak, increasingly apostate Church?
True in any generation.Just as we are living on borrowed credit, so we are living on borrowed time.
Neither more nor less likely. It's always been and always will be a crap shoot work in progress with a pressure valve we call peaceful revolution every four years. So long as we respect process we'll be fine....Is the implosion of America more or less likely now?”
Praise be to Obama, the nation's savior! You will see a grand bargain waged (with the house) and the economy stabilized. We will see reasonable tax increases AND spending cuts as well as increased efficiency in government.
The conservative vision will gradually decay. Thank goodness.
