I do not follow RCC's bishops orders, Nihilo.
We know.
I have never not acknowledged that biblical bishops are here, it is only that I do not acknowledge that the ROMAN Catholic Church's bishops are the biblical bishops.
Well who are they then? And what do they do? And are any Christians supposed to listen to what they teach?
And you have read every single one of the '15 million posts' here and you have learned nothing? Amazing!
I've learned enough to know that the OLDEST Christian tradition that teaches the Trinity that YOU BELIEVE is the Catholic Church, and that makes discussing the Catholic Church ITT right on topic.
Sure they are. How many black Christs does the ROMAN Catholic Church teach that its followers must touch and kiss the black wooden statue (which is totally contrary to biblical teaching)?
Let's see, that comes to mind, there's one in Brazil, thousands, if not millions, flock to it and kiss the microbe filled black wood. Then, there's one in Guatemala which RCC followers do the same.
The Catholic Church is the Church in the Bible. Her bishops are the bishops in the Bible. Her teaching on the Trinity is what YOU BELIEVE.
Show me a verse in the Bible or anywhere in history where Peter, the first infallible Pope, according to RCC doctrine, taught that anyone is to kiss a statue, black or otherwise.
There is no authorized, infallible teaching to do that. Christians are free to do any number of things that aren't explicitly formally officially taught by the Church. Like, drinking water and eating food is not taught, but the Church is free to do those things.
However, the RCC does teach their followers to kiss statues, black or otherwise.
Where? In the Catechism of the Catholic Church, where?
When did Peter, the first infallible Pope, according to RCC doctrine, taught that anyone is to bow down to him?
Where in the Catechism of the Catholic Church is this taught?
But Peter made him get up. "Stand up," he said, "I am only a man myself" (Acts 10). I guess, Peter did not know that he was the first infallible pope of the RCC.
Peter infallibly and unilaterally declared that all of Paul's epistles were Scripture.
Why does the current infallible Pope, according to RCC doctrine, brought back the hideous bent cross?
What is an infallible pope? That's not a Catholic or Christian term. And what is your trouble with the Church living out what Paul said, preaching Christ and Him crucified?
The ONLY Catholic Church that God will ever accept is the one exemplified in the Bible and it definitely is NOT what has come out of the 'supposedly conversion' of Constantine.
The Church that hashed out the Trinity teaching is not acceptable to you? You're all over the place.
It would do you and anybody else good if we all took the time to understand Matthew 16:13-20 and what Jesus was talking about, and it is NOT what the RCC proclaims.
Peter (petros) means 'a small piece of a cliff' and is MASCULINE.
Rock (petras) means 'the whole cliff' and is FEMININE.
Go figure it out on your own for its meaning not the RCC's.
Vs. that Christ spoke a language in which the word for rock and Peter's name are the same.
When translated into Greek (cf. John 1:42 KJV) of course the fact that the Greek word for rock is feminine became an issue, and Peter, being a man, would have to have the feminine word turned masculine. Otherwise you'd have him with a feminine name.
