I have now. :) Not sure how it applies, as a Christian tune, to someone who doesn't believe in Christ's divinity, but it's a good tune in any event.

As I stated, it's all about Christian reputation and the need for Christians to call down blessings on people when we really don't feel like it. I'm not so sure that it's a requirement to see Yeshua as divinity as much as it is a requirement to walk in Him, doing the Will of the Father. I'm glad you like the song. :)

Good song and a new artist for me, so thanks. :thumb:

Not sure you can walk in Christ without knowing who he is though.

Right. I don't think you can believe him and deny who he is.

And that's fine but according to Yeshua, to believe He is God is not a requirement for salvation or for identification as a Christian. Yeshua didn't send Himself, the Father sent Him. It seems to me that Meshak's point here has been that ones reputation here at TOL doesn't have anything to do with ones reputation as a Christian and she would be correct in that.

I don't agree with your reading on the point, but there's no point in arguing if that's your mind on it. Or at least I've never seen anyone who was decided about it move one way or the other, so there's no discernible profit in hashing it out.

The points valid enough, though I don't know anyone who ever wrote there was a correlation. It once was something of an indicator of the general feeling about a poster's contributions. Now it's just pinball. Moral litmus by show of hand? :think: That would be a peculiar one.

Can't be saved without a Saviour and God says, "beside me there is no savior." I haven't seen where our Lord said it isn't a requirement for salvation. The Lord our God is one LORD. You need to understand that Lord and God are the LORD GOD. Which is why our LORD said Thomas would be blessed when he called HIM his Lord and God.

Isaiah 43:11
I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.

Isaiah 45:15
Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.

Isaiah 45:21
Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

Isaiah 49:26
And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Isaiah 60:16
Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Hosea 13:4
Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.

Luke 1:47
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

John 4:42
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

Philippians 3:20
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Timothy 1:1
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

1 Timothy 2:3
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

1 Timothy 4:10
For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
