False teachers like Nanja and nang want to feel like they are part of a special select group that is saved, and they didn't need to hear and believe

You are promoting salvation by works, by what a person does, for hearing and believing are things men do.

A person can't be saved by anything they do, according to the scriptures Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 8:7-8.
If it's something you do while still carnal Rom. 8:8, yes, it's a work of the flesh Is. 64:6!

The words "Believe", "Believed", "Believest", "Believeth", "Believer", appear in the Bible over 330 times. It is a very subjective word because it pertains to what some one does.

Jesus used the word over 100 times. Many times he said "Whosoever" that believes in me shall not perish.

Unless one has been Born of God, his own believing is a work of the flesh Rom. 8:8; putrid in God's Sight Is. 64:6!

Another poster implied that Calvin authored the Canons.

The genesis of the "five points of Calvinism" issued forth via the Synod at Dordt, gathered to challenge and rebut the heretical doctrinal (five) points made in opposition to the Reformed Faith, by the Arminian Remonstrants, not too long after the demise of both Calvin and Arminius.

I cannot name one biblical argument, nor conclusion of the Synod at Dordt, that Calvin would have denied, even though he was not the author of this most blessed ecclesiastical work and declaration.

Which has absolutely no bearing against Calvinism.

You do not choose what you believe- this goes for everything, not just God. Belief is something that is beyond your control.

Until you all recognize that truth, you will never begin to understand predestination theology.

Belief is something beyond your control seeing you fail at it so miserably.

Please provide a scripture that says that, 'You do not choose what you believe'.
