Rom. 8:7-8
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Rom. 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
The Faith that Justifies is the Faith of Christ: His Faithfulness, His Obedience on behalf of all the Elect in Him Eph. 1:4 He died for. It's by His Obedience in His Life and Death on their behalf Rom. 5:19 that they are made Righteous / Justified, so making peace with God Rom. 5:9.
So then, when each one of the Elect are born in time, at some point in their life they shall be born again / Born of the Spirit and given Faith which is a fruit Gal. 5:22 and gift Eph. 2:8 of the Spirit setting forth an awesome confirmation to them that they were chosen In Union with Christ before the foundation to be Sons of the Living God Eph. 1:4-5!

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
