The Jerusalem council was dealing with exactly that issue...with those who were now BORN AGAIN thus all the works they did were not filthy rags nor done in order to gain salvation and justification but because they already were BORN AGAIN...

False teaching of salvation by works a person does!
The natural man can't hear the Gospel.
One must first be Born of God to hear God's Words.
John 8:43, 47
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
And because the unregenerate are still in the flesh [spiritually dead] neither can they believe the Gospel.
The only Belief / Faith that pleases God is a fruit and gift of the Spirit given in New Birth.
Rom. 8:8-9

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.

The only way that the slate gets wiped clean is to be "In Christ". There is no remission of sins without the shedding of blood, Hebrews 9:22.
What about the thousands of Jews that heard and believed Peter's Gospel on the day of Pentecost? Some had participated in the crucifixion of Christ, Acts 2:41, Acts 4:4, Acts 2:36.
You don't have an answer for that do you? When you are confronted with truth you go silent.

What makes you think that a person is Saved based on what he does or does not do Eph. 2:8-9?
No one will be saved that does not hear and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
"So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God" (which is the Gospel) Romans 10:17.
"Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law (because you did something) or by the hearing of faith" (hearing and believing the Gospel) Galatians 3:2.
Here is your problem. If you hear and believe the Gospel you will drop Calvinism. They are opposing doctrines.

But the only way to hear and believe the Gospel according to the scriptures, in a way that pleases God Rom. 8:7-9, is first one must be Born of God John 8:43, 47, and then Given to Believe Phil. 1:29; John 3:27. It's all of God's action that He Works exclusively in His Elect Children Eph. 1:4-5 whose sins were never imputed to them, but to Christ, their Surety Heb. 7:22 on their behalf Rom. 4:6-8!
Because it is a tutor to show you that you need a savior.
The law for the Jews governed people in Judea before 70 CE.
The Jewish law never applied to Israel who knew nothing about Judaism.

Here is you problem, again. It is not humanly possible to have faith in a God that predestinates billions to hell before they are born. And then it is not humanly possible to have faith in a Christ that has not atoned for the sins of the whole world.
What you have faith in is an idea that you have been chosen and everyone else has been damned to hell. A really, really sick idea.

Calling God unjust and a tyrant for doing as He desires with His Creation is Blasphemy, and is a witness to the lost condition of your soul.
Job 23:13-14
13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.

Now those verses alone are proof that God does not desire all men without exception be be saved yet they are not!

All that God does he does within his holy, just, merciful, righteous nature.
Your Calvinist God is not the God of the Bible. Your God was conceived in the mind of a heretic.
It is not possible to have saving faith in your phony God. You need to wake up and smell the roses before you wind up in hell.

HOGWASH is what Calvinism is.
The purpose of Calvinism is to cause people to lose faith in God and his Son Jesus Christ.
Who can have faith in a God that damns people to hell before they are born?
Who can have faith in a Christ that cannot atone for the sins of the whole world?
The answer is no one.

There is no scripture that says God condemns people to hell. That is a Calvinist lie.
People go to hell because they have rejected God's great free gift of salvation that has been provided by Jesus Christ and maybe they should.
