First off, your post seems kind of negative and accusatory to me.... Did you mean it that way?
Regardless, I take Jesus seriously. He clearly came to preach the coming/present Kingdom of God: what the world would be like if God sat on the throne instead of Caesar. He taught the Kingdom (on earth as it is in Heaven.
He taught this in parables, mysterious stories which totally undercut the default world of conventional wisdom. He did not teach in propositional theology but used metaphor and puzzling stories to show what he meant by the Kingdom of God.
My faith has nothing to do with being able to give assent to a list of ancient, first century dogmatic theological statements. I tend to cultivate a relationship with Jesus by taking up the cross and following him. I am much more concerend with "right action" rather than "right belief."
