The "What If" does not mean that is what God does.
It's exactly what God does...
2 Peter 3:8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
From Romans 9:22 "endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction?"
One of His attributes and one of the fruits of the Spirit is patience/long-suffering Gal. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. 26 Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.
And God does exactly as He pleases.
His patience is THE opportunity for everyone to come to the repentance that leads to salvation, 2 Cor. 7:10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.
Maybe He is patiently waiting for you?
