You have spoken well indeed.
It doesn't make any sense, does it? :nono: But he does seem to suspect most of the world of it
the only thing separating us from God is ourselves. Adam fled and hid from GOD after he sinned. God went and dug him out and fixed it. Prodigal's father became dirty to welcome his son home. They aren't? What separates us from God? Sin. Not some sins more than other sins....just sin.
If someone wants to keep the Jewish Covental laws, I have to ask them why they abandoned Christ and His Church? His church is fashioned after Melchizedek, before Jew or Gentile and before any LawTo implement His Law, not man's own laws.
Who determines that? Slippery slope here. The Church is already flat out ANTI CHRIST in standing up to the law now, they can't take mu;ch more of it.No, I am absolutely not an anarchist but I do not have to recognize man's laws as righteous. Scripture instructs that we are to obey the law of the land, however, in Acts 5:27-29 it's clear that when man's law contradicts God's, we are to obey God.
He's a walking dichotomy. If you disagree with him on any given point, then he thinks you're a closeted homosexual. Rather ironic as most people disagree with him on most of his rambling and that would equate to most of the world being gay...
Don't believe Christianity and Islam are that different. The hysterical fixation on all things gay, feminism and patriarchy is part of Shari'a Law. It doesn't much matter which religion we're talking about.
Dinesh D'Souza some years ago tried to make this point: That US Christians ought to unite with Islam, as they are so similar. It went about as well as you would expect....
Thank you, but the fact is that God spoke through you better. I need to learn to handle condescension better. It would have been wiser to state "Don't be a snot, it doesn't become Yeshua!"

And here we have GFR7 presenting out of context Scripture and agreeing with one of TOL's most avid homosexualists: jgarden.

Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Samaritans and Jesus
Samaritans were hated by Jesus' target audience, the Jews, to such a degree that the Lawyer's phrase "The one who had mercy on him" may indicate a reluctance to name the Samaritan. The Samaritans in turn hated the Jews. Tensions were particularly high in the early decades of the first century because Samaritans had desecrated the Jewish Temple at Passover with human bones.
As the story reached those who were unaware of the oppression of the Samaritans, this aspect of the parable became less and less discernible: fewer and fewer people ever heard of them in any context other than as a description. Today, the story is often recast in a more modern setting where the people are ones in equivalent social groups known not to interact comfortably.
Thus, cast appropriately, the parable regains its message to modern listeners: namely, that an individual of a social group they disapprove of can exhibit moral behavior that is superior to individuals of the groups they approve. Christians have used it as an example of Christianity's opposition to racial, ethnic, and sectarian prejudice.

Welcome back to the thread Art. For those of you that don't follow the ranting's of Art Brain, he's been busy in another thread trying to convince a fellow TOL'er that he's a heterosexual (talking about how at 16 years old, he had a crush on a 21 year old woman).
Not most of the world Art (2% of the adult population is not "most of the world"), but many of those that defend homosexuality (and GFR7 defends it in a different way) in this thread in fact are practicing sodomites.
Point taken. nicely made.Thank you, but the fact is that God spoke through you better. I need to learn to handle condescension better. It would have been wiser to state "Don't be a snot, it doesn't become Yeshua!"
:jawdrop: :think:Yeah Connie, cos anyone who disagrees with your stance is either on a rant or gay...the irony in regards to both is palpable. Most people just on here don't seem to agree with you, so is the likelihood that most here are homosexual?
Or is it more likely that you're simply a fixated crank?
I am beginning to think so. Only a pot calls the kettle black. He keeps calling me a homosexualist, and yet I must be a very strange one indeed:someone stole his doorknob and he can't get out, so he's ticked.
I am beginning to think so. Only a pot calls the kettle black. He keeps calling me a homosexualist, and yet I must be a very strange one indeed:
My posts are complaining about same sex marriage and the gay agenda in the media. What kind of fool gay activist would post those things, between rest stop pickups (aCW says he knows I get men at rest stops).
Too much accusation, too many references to gay sex: He is speaking of some dark thing strangling inside him.
Thanks for sharing that story - it's interesting, and quite sad, really. He wouldn't be the first if he is in fact homosexual. Believe it or not there was someone here at one point who was somehow even more obsessed with homosexuality than aCW, to the point where he advocated killing them and in an insanely obsessive manner. He was called 'Just Tom' and eventually admitted it, not that his projected self loathing wasn't already apparent to most. aCW isn't quite as nuts to be fair but the obsession and bizzare imaginings aren't that far behind...

Secular laws?...for an ordered society. God's law?....because He said so (lol) and for an ordered society under Him.
Don't be a snot, it doesn't become you.
Get used to thinking of yourself as a Christian man first and a man second.
None of which discounts the fact that the CDC recommends HIV testing for all heterosexuals and has standardized HIV testing for all pregnant women.
As tests are ordered privately by physicians, I would hardly be privy to this information unless someone volunteered it. Would you like me to ask at our next meeting?
I'm not privy to the sexual habits of you or your wife. My husband and I had complete physicals for the first time in our 25 years of marriage. Our physician ordered HIV tests for us but told us we could opt out if we wished. We took the test. Big deal. Of course, you would probably see that as a measure of distrust on our parts but when our doctor tells us to do something, we usually do it, trusting in his expertise.
Try doing it from a Christian perspective. After all, that's what will really get folks somewhere, unless you're not interested in that.
