John Stuart Mill died in 1873.
IQ testing was created in 1912.

It doesn't matter.
Having a high IQ does not prevent someone from sounding like a complete idiot.

How many people in your neck of the woods can afford to buy a property outright? Newsflash GO. Most people aren't lottery winners/celebs etc so the only viable option for many where it comes to investing in housing is to take out a mortgage. Are you going to deny them the vote as well?!

Yes, I know how satisfied you and your ilk are with how things have shaped up in America in the last 100 years.

Some of us actually don't like the way individuals have lost their freedoms and opportunities because of the politics you support.

There has been a ruling class for almost as long as humans have existed and they have also done everything possible to keep the working people from owning their property. Heck, it's not long ago we abolished institutionalized slavery and the ruling class did everything they could to try to keep working people enslaved and they still do.

In 2012, the Democrats received 1.4 million more ballots in the popular vote for the House of Representatives than their Republican counterparts - but the GOP was rewarded with a majority of 23 seats!

Nullifying the ballots of 1.4 voters and providing themselves with a majority in the House, despite receiving far fewer votes, demonstrates the degree to which the Republicans are willing to subvert the democratic system by "gerrymandering" the riding boundaries.

It was this "obstructionist" GOP majority in the House that did everything in its power to bring the federal government to a standstill.

and of course, we shouldn't slam the poor dears against the wall or put them in coffins with bugs or waterboard them, even though no one has DIED from those "torture" methods. 911 victims actually died, but that doesn't seem to phaze these people (using the term loosely).

When an abortionist is shot, which unfortunately does not happen very often (OK, ok...), the liberals are just SOOO distraught over this poor man's death, and, as is the MO, totally forget about the babies he has been butchering on a daily basis.

Hey, it was mutilation and murder for a good cause (women like Jillian do not want to mess up their bodies by having... Yikes! Children). So, abortionists are heroes :dizzy:

Isn't this really about moral absolutes?
If liberals tend to acknowledge no moral absolutes while conservatives see them everywhere then perhaps anything seen as less than an absolute by them has to be liberal and therefore vile?

Perpetrators of crime are seen as absolutely wrong. They cannot be "depraved on account of deprive" as the saying goes.

Abortions cannot ever be justifiable for conservatives, for they must be an absolute wrong always. Therefore their argument, as here, is only typically about abortions as a frivolous lifestyle choice rather than something sometimes done with the best of considered intent. Abortion is an absolute wrong for conservatives?
Abortionists are seen as absolutely wrong and therefore can be absolutely shot?

Maybe thinking for yourself is liberal? :think:
911 victims were killed by moral absolutists imo doing what they thought was an absolutely moral act, only they were wrong ...perhaps even absolutely wrong.

I'm not satisfied with Western politics in general so as usual you're way off the mark. It's incredibly rich that you blabber on about people losing their freedoms in addition as that's exactly what you'd support if you're in favour of disallowing the poor, those living in rented accommodation and possibly even those mortgaging properties to have no voice...

Do answer the last example on the list as such was only noticeable by its absence.
