The Passover is a seven day feast during which unleavened bread is to be eaten.

I only wish more would be mindful to use these names...not take them for naught...

When did the seven day Feast of Passover begin in Jesus' day?
By the time of Jesus, the Jews had incorporated the Passover day into the seven day festival of unleavened bread.
Jesus was buried just as the sun was setting and the Jews were sitting down to their Pascal Lambs that had been Killed, like Jesus, on the day of preparation to the Passover.
Leviticus 23: 5; The Passover, celebrated to honour the Lord BEGINS at sunset (The sunset, which is the end of the 13th day and the beginning of the 14th day) on the 14th day of the first month.
Leviticus 23: 7; On the fifteenth day (Which begins as the sun sets at the end of the 14th day) the festival of unleavened bread begins, etc.
Numbers 28: 16; The Passover Festival in honour of the Lord, is to be held on the 14 th day of the first month.
Concerning the day of Passover, the Lord says in Exodus 12: 14; “You must celebrate ‘THIS DAY’ as a religious festival to remind you of what I, the Lord have done, Celebrate it (One day)*for all time to come.
Numbers 28: 16; On the fifteenth day a religious festival begins which lasts seven days, during which, only unleavened bread is to be eaten. On the first day of the seven day festival of unleavened bread, (The 15th day of Abib) you are to gather for worship and no work is to be done………………. On the last day (The 21st of Abib) you must meet for worship and do no work.

Did Jesus die on the afternoon of the fourteenth?

He was nailed to the cross on the 3rd of the daylight hours of the day of preparation, (9 AM)at the 6th hour of daylight (Midday) darkness covered the Land for three hours, he died on the 9th hour, (3 PM) and was buried just as the sun was setting on the day of preparation to the Passover, and the Jewish authorities were about to sit down and devour the Lambs that they had butchered.
Jesus the reality of the Pascal lamb, died at 3 PM between the two evenings of Midday and 6 PM, on the day of preparation to the Passover.
So kill on 14 eat that same night...

Scripture tells me that as Jesus was laid in the tomb, a Sabbath began.
Was that Sabbath the weekly Sabbath or some other Sabbath?
