Sometimes we greatly value the opinion of others.
You value the opinion of the very ones others did in scripture...but to be accepted by them....
John 7:1
After this, Jesus traveled throughout Galilee. He did not want to travel in Judea, because the Jews there were trying to kill Him.
John 9:22
His parents said this because
they were afraid of the Jews. For the Jews had already determined that anyone who confessed Jesus as the Christ would be put out of the synagogue.
John 12:42
Nevertheless, many of the leaders believed in Him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue.
John 19:38
Afterward, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus (but secretly for fear of the Jews), asked Pilate to let him remove the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission, so he came and removed His body.
John 20:19
It was the first day of the week, and that very evening, while the disciples were together with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them. "Peace be with you!" He said to them.
Even the pharisees valued the opinion of others...other jews...
Mark 11:32
...‘Why then did you not believe him?’ 32But if we say, ‘From men’...” they were afraid of the people, for they all held that John truly was a prophet.
Even Paul shaved his head and made a vow and made sacrifice “that all may know that those things of which they were informed concerning you are nothing but that you yourself also walk orderly and keep the law.” Acts 21:24
So I guess it is important to gain acceptance by jews...believing jews...
But you aren’t interested in those...
