Looks like Islamic terrorists have struck again. It's becoming more and more apparent that it's either going to be us.... or them. Islamic extremists need to be dealt with or we will never be able to live in relative peace again.

MOSCOW – Terrorists struck again in the heart of Russia, with a suicide bomber blowing himself up Monday in Moscow's busiest airport and turning its international arrivals terminal into a smoky, blood-spattered hall of dismembered bodies, screaming survivors and abandoned suitcases. At least 35 people were killed, including two British travelers.

No one claimed responsibility for the blast at Domodedovo Airport that also wounded 180 people, although Islamic militants in the southern Russian region of Chechnya have been blamed for previous attacks in Moscow, including a double suicide bombing on the capital's subway system in March 2010 that resulted in 40 deaths.

President Dmitry Medvedev called it a terrorist attack and immediately tightened security at Moscow's two other commercial airports and other key transportation facilities.

It was the second time in seven years that Domodedovo was involved in a terrorist attack: In 2004, two female suicide bombers penetrated the lax security there, illegally bought tickets from airport personnel and boarded planes that exploded in flight and killed 90 people.

Coming soon to an airport near you: you will have to be scanned BEFORE you enter the airport.

As far as I am aware no group, Islamic or otherwise, has taken responsibility have they? :idunno:
If ya had to bet money who was responsible for a suicide bombing in an airport where they have had trouble with Islamic terrorists in past where would you place your money?

The MO fits he same Islamist group that bombed the metro. But, as has been said no one group has yet claimed responsibility.

The Terrorist Organizations have accomplished what they have set out to do, create an incident that would terrorize our country in a manner to take the feeling of peace and security from all our citizens.

We have lost that peaceful and secure feeling for ever, as each American traveler can attest to almost on a daily basis, security check points at the airports, bus stations, subway systems, on the highways and court houses.

We were never secure in the first place, it's just that no one had ever attacked us on our shores in this manner. Now, since 9-11, they will never need to make a major attack again to send the fear running through our Nation, anything will accomplish that now!

Unfortunately, with all the precautions that we are now taking, the American people will never know freedom as we once did.

As far as the enemies of our country is concerned, it has always been either us or them, just many people do not and probably never did, see it that way...maybe now their eyes will be opened!

Terrorist cells, regardless of their religion or reasons for their activities, are the enemy of the free world!

Obviously Islamic terrorists no doubt. However, the same bet could have been made right after Oklahoma City as well. When I first saw the news about the Oklahoma City bombing I thought for sure it was Islamic terrorists. After that I learned to wait and see what further info comes out.

McVeigh believed in national socialism, just like Islam. He was wrong to retailate for the murders commited by Reno in Waco and Ruby Ridge, but that isn't the point here. This is.

Islamist rebels have vowed to take their bombing campaign from the North Caucasus to the Russian heartland in the year before presidential elections, hitting transport and economic targets. They have also leveled threats at the 2014 Winter Olympics, scheduled for the Black Sea resort town of Sochi, a region some militants consider "occupied."

Dense smoke filled Domodedovo's international arrivals hall and a fire burned along one wall.

Well, you can't really expect the Chechens to stay civil.
The Russians have oppressed them quite a bit. So they lash out.

A shame they take it on civvies, but you really can't expect the Chechens to bend over and let the Ruskies screw them either.

Folks, this is not about an external threat. It's about any threat. It is about your survival. Did you learn nothing from Katrina? You are on your own, the government will not rescue you, and it cannot protect you. Do whatever is necessary to assure you and your family's safety and survival in the event of an emergency.

And millions upon millions of dollars can't help either which has been sent to Katrina because of the corrupt govt. which seems to be ubiquitous.

Bombing at Moscow airport.

Good.

The Russians are equalled only by the Syrians and the Israelis when it comes to ferretting out and clamping down hard on terrorists. They don't pussyfoot around, they don't play nice, they don't debate whether terrorists should be afforded the same constitutional rights of the people they just murdered. They play extremely dirty when it comes to this sort of thing.

Muslims are becoming the 14th century Christians with 21st century weapons.
The cure will be the same for the Middle East as it was for Western Europe: economic development and secularization of the state.
