good post!

Steko is wrong . . .

Daniel's prophecy applies to all nationalities of men; not just to Jews.

"All Israel" is all souls chosen from out from all the nations, to be redeemed in the "Israel" of God; Jesus Christ.

"Israel" is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Hosea 11:1, Matthew 2:15

Exactly. expounded, yes. necessary because Paul Had new information. many were planted by God. Paul was Chosen by God as the pattern for His Grace, Mercy and longsuffering. it's almost as if folks a jealous, of Paul, or bitter, that they missed some very important Scripture most of their lives - :patrol:

Dan 9:11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
Dan 9:13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us
Dan 9:15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
Dan 9:16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
Dan 9:20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;

Strictly pertains to the nation of Israel.

The earthly judgments, yes, which have all occurred; really in time and also in type as spiritual warnings . . . so within the prophecies of Daniel are promises to and about the true and spiritual Israel of God; Jesus Christ and His church.

The applications of the O.T. Prophets, including Daniel, cannot be denied the N.T. visible churches!

Covenantalism is wrong.

GOD indeed has made specific covenants and they are clearly stated in scripture. Imaginary covenants are not stated.

Yes, so . . .

God is a Covenantal God.

Study of His revealed Covenants is actual study of His Holy Scriptures and study of His Holy Scriptures is study of His Covenants revealed.

"Covenantalism" defined.

Steko is spot on target.
He believes the promises of God, and knows God will not renege on His promises to the nation of Israel.

No, Israel is not Jesus Christ.
Both Israel and Jesus Christ were called out of Egypt.
Israel coming out of Egypt was prophetic of what Jesus would later do.
That does not make Israel and Jesus Christ one and the same.

Yeah, I don't like semantical juggling with the Scriptures, either.

God delivering the nation of Israel out of Egypt was ensuring the future fulfillment of the eventual birth and deliverance of Jesus, also to be delivered physically out of Egypt: the Christ born as a babe from the tribe of Judah; the spiritual "Israel" His Elect Son. (Isaiah 42:1)

Yep.
And there is no imaginary Israel either.

Jesus Christ, scripturally defined as being the true and spiritual "Israel" of God, is more real, actual, and lasting than the literal nation of Israel, which was only an earthly and temporal type of His Eternal Person, Who IS the everlasting Bearer of the Holy Ordinances of God.
