On Rape

It is if you're sitting naked on a drunk guys lap or.....need I go on, really?
You keep tossing around this example but you can't seem to comprehend that rape in that scenario is still not okay.

Stepping in front of a truck on the highway has it's own natural consequence. Diving in a river when you can't swim has one, too. Why are you denying what should be obvious? :idunno:
These are not the same things. You see, the truck did not stalk you, follow you, rip your clothes off and then run you over, did it? The river didn't grab you and force you underwater, right? In these cases, the aggressors are not purposefully and actively harming someone else. In the case of rape, they are. Honestly, how can you even begin to equate these as the same thing?

The women's movement has certainly made great strides. Women can do no wrong, it seems. The times they are a changing. :chuckle:
If I knocked you unconscious with a chair and claimed I did it because your lipstick is the wrong shade of red, am I at fault? After all, if only you had known better, that there is a certain shade of red that I don't like. You had it comin!

Yep, I keep tossing that example around, and you keep ignoring it. She stalks the man. She is bent on arousing him. That's why she's there naked and rubbing up against a pole. She has no clothes to "rip off". She sits on the guys lap and complains when he takes what she's serving up on a platter. Yes, she can cry rape....he has a better case.

Such a unbelievably specific example that you have to go to in order to make your ridiculous argument work. And it still is a pathetically weak argument regardless.

Now you're making me laugh. You'll have to try harder than that.
It is the same line of thought. You did something on the peripheral, I reacted to that something, and it is YOUR fault that I took action. That is not how it works. You know that isn't how it works.

No, I know that IS how it works many a time.
I guess we will have to agree to disagree because you are fishing for examples to justify rape. You and Doser can have a blasty blast when he gets back from his time in the penalty box.

They are both specific and they are both weak, that is the point of the comparison- why do I have to explain this?

Because your explanations are so bogus. Have you lost all common sense? This is not rocket science. Sometimes victims can be at fault....in any scenario....even rape. Why it's so hard to admit I will never know. It does NOT mean there is no other fault to be had. It simply means that we must ADMIT what is true and not pretend like it isn't there.

I have never once JUSTIFIED rape.

There is simply no room for common sense in the liberal mind. No idea exists of equal fault and varying degrees of fault.
No idea of someone being accountable for their own actions. Always finger pointing at the other guy. :nono:
