Alright, so let's read the rest of your post and where it says "flesh" we'll insert "emotions," and see if it makes any sense. Ok? Ok.
 Hmmm, emotions have passions and desires? :mock:
Next passage...
[Gal 5:17, 19-21, 24
17 For the flesh emotions lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh emotions; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. ...
19 Now the works of the flesh emotions are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told [you] in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. ...
 :mock:
Not what Paul says.
For by
grace (
unmerited favor) are you saved
through faith!
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9

Nope.
For Israel, works (aka keeping the law) were required for salvation.
God nearly killed Moses because he didn't circumcise his son. Zipporah (Moses' wife) had to do it herself, and called him a "husband of blood" to her.
Only if one is under the law.
Christians, as Paul said,
are not under the law, but under grace.
Yes, it was. So what if it was done to the little baby without his consent?
God required it, or else the baby would be cut off.
How about a gentile who wanted to enter into a relationship with God in the Old Testament? What did He have to do?
HE HAD TO CIRCUMCISE AND KEEP THE LAW.
Israelite women were considered jews because they were born into a jewish family.
It doesn't now, correct.
Would it profit a Christian to put himself under the law against adultery? Or theft? Or murder? Or perjury?[/QUOTE]
I said
This might help you understand grace.
GRACE -UNSOLICITED MERCY-NEW TESTAMENT-THE LAW OF CHRIST
Gal 4:4-5
4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
Eph 2:8
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
John 1:14
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:16-17
16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Rom 4:16

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
Gal 3:16
16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ.
Rom 5:17-20
17 For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,
Rom 5:21
21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

xxxGrace is uncilisted mercy. Grace is a new way thought up by God, we dont deserve it, we have not earned it, we didnt even think of it but God gave it to us-a new way the new testament. God looked down on us and said them dummies arent getting it I have to think of a new way. The new testament is our Grace. Now within the new testament there are commandments. Jesus brought us the new testament, this is how Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Not knowing what the gift of grace was, so many are useing grace as an excuse to sin. Grace is not a way to justify sin, it is a better way to get rid of sin. The law of Christ is a new law. God explained that we didnt have nothing to do with His grace. It was His decision of sending Jesus with the new law.

1 Cor 15:9-11
9 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
