How can a Messiah come in Jesus' name when Jesus is the only Messiah?

Your question makes no sense.

The prophecy is about false Messiahs.

It is about many coming in His name saying Jesus is the Messiah,

who mislead men concerning the end of the churches in apostacy, the signs of His coming and the end of the age.

The verses have no guidance whatever to a preterist like yourself.

You are right on that, but there is no reasoning with Tel-a-lie.

None whatsoever...

Nope.

It's about false Messiah's.

(Matt 24:23-24) At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

What's telling, you ever gainsaying jerk; is what you did with that clip and paste bit of history.

History proves Dispensationalism wrong.

The events that took place in 70AD prove your "prophetic clock" wrong.

You know it, and that's why you have refused to answer the questions.

You are a typical Darby follower.

No.

Jesus was warning about the may who would come in his name saying He is Christ yet deceive many.

Those with lying wonders come some time after that.

Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
Mat 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

When you realize the man has no interest in exploring anything that does not fit his Preterist heresy; ignore his questions.

Just know that will only cause him to assert you are ignoring him because you have no answers.

He is that vain and that desperate.

Good luck with that "Preterist."

There are other people who read the discussion and will see the folly of the preterist position.

Tet may or may not be turned from it.

Those with lying wonders come some time after that.

You just refuted yourself.

As Interplanner and I showed you, the false Messiah's were well documented.

Therefore, if verse 24 was fulfilled before 70AD, that would mean verse 4 was fulfilled if, as you say, verse 4 is fulfilled before verse 24.

All three were fulfilled during the 40 years from the cross to 70AD.

The Apostle Paul warned the Ephesians, 2 Peter 2 and Jude is about false teachers, and John's epistles speak of false teachers.

Three different time periods.

Nope.

All three passages were fulfilled between 30AD - 70AD.

Verse 34 makes it crystal clear that all would be fulfilled before the generation of Jesus' contemporaries all passed away.

You are a typical Darby follower.

You are making two mistakes.

1. Do you really understand what Danoh meant when he spoke of the prophetic clock?

2. It is a mistake to judge the bible based on the fallible interpretations of men who write history.

As we see, over and over again, you cannot defend the false teachings of Dispensationalism.

Your "prophetic clock" claim is a joke, and proves MAD is a false teaching.

Spam.

Loser, and you, and your "man made" 'invention, of AD 70-ism/Preterism, is a joke.

Don't you believe the bible/the Lord Jesus Christ/Paul/Peter, little, wimpy, greasy Craigie?

You cannot answer any question, which proves that you invented your "man made belief system."

As we see, over and over again, you cannot defend the false teachings of AD 70-ism/Preterism.

Why do you folow men, instead of God, Wimpy?

Fun!!! Let's all play Craigie's games!!!

Get a job, infidel.

MAD is not a teaching. How could it be false?

Do you really understand what be is claiming with the clock? As long as you are throwing rocks at Windows, it is highly unlikely he will ever go into a detailed explanation of what he means.

Of course, Craigie's "man made belief system" of AD 70-ism, is based upon:

-a Christ rejector, Josephus, " Flavey Joe," ...

...and..

- from this book, by his guru, J Stuart Russell:

1. Do you really understand what Danoh meant when he spoke of the prophetic clock?

I have asked him to explain, and so far, he has refused.

I don't think it's very complicated. Most Dispies who subscribe to the prophetic clock being stopped/paused claim God stopped dealing with Israel. Therefore, any prophecies regarding Israel were put on hold whenever the prophetic clock was stopped.

2. It is a mistake to judge the bible based on the fallible interpretations of men who write history.

I'm not judging the Bible. The secular history confirms the prophecies were fulfilled.

You're a Dispy, why don't you explain Israel's "prophetic clock" being stopped somewhere in Acts, and the events of 66AD - 70AD?

According to Josephus, 1.1 million non-combatants died in Jerusalem, mainly as a result of the violence and famine. Many of the casualties were actually foreigners who had wanted to experience the festivities around Passover but instead got trapped in the chaotic siege.[1]
He also tells us that 97,000 were enslaved.[1]
Matthew White, The Great Big Book of Horrible Things (Norton, 2012) p.52,[2] estimates the combined death toll[clarification needed] for the First and Third Roman Jewish Wars as being approximately 350,000

From Chapter 6 of "The Jewish War" by the Perseus project.

Why should we believe Josephus over these scholars?

He has refused because you are here to throw rocks and not to learn.

I'm not judging the Bible. The secular history confirms the prophecies were fulfilled.----tet

You are referring what is a true understanding of Scripture and what is false based on secular historians.

Just because Josephus made a claim, doesn't make it true especially when they are competing viewpoints out there that make the case against his version of events.

MAD is not a teaching. How could it be false?

It's a teaching. Would you prefer I call it a system?

From Wikipedia:

"As a system, dispensationalism developed from the Plymouth Brethren philosophy of the 1830s in Ireland and England, and in the teachings of John Nelson Darby (1800–82)."

Do you really understand what be is claiming with the clock?

You act like it's some secret.

Just google "Israel's prophetic clock stopped", and you will be taken to hundreds of Dispensational websites that all say the same thing.
