It is beyond ignorant to say no one can obey anything. You are a Calvinist. You are as those whom you say you hate.

There are people here who take Jesus' words and twist them.
Jesus says to repent of sins.
There are people here who say, "Jesus only wanted the Jews to obey God."
There are people who teach, "Jesus knew no one could obey so he was being ironic."
There are people here who teach, "Everything Jesus said was put away and a new teaching came from Paul."

All that teaching against obeying Jesus' powerful words...think about it...who would be behind such a teaching?
I give many scriptures where Paul says to obey.

The Jews tried to obtain their own righteousness because GOD HAD COMMANDED IT, it was obtained by getting circumcised and offering the blood of animals. The Jews wanted to keep doing those things to obtain their own righteousness---they did not want to depend on the righteousness that came from Jesus' blood.
They did not accept that Jesus is the Lamb. The Jews wanted to keep doing their own righteous making by animal scarifies.
We all try to obey. But our very best falls short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23.

Humble yourself and admit you are a sinner.
Can you do that? Can anyone do that?
No? Then your heart is stubborn and you will not be saved.
Romans 2:5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” 7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. 8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. 9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; 10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 11 For God does not show favoritism.

God calls people stubborn and rebellious for NOT OBEYING.

You have to know that you are a sinner to depths of your being. Every thought, word, and deed is polluted by sin. This is the definition of a sinner and it includes everyone on this planet.

You are a stubborn, rebellious sinner and God will humble you. If he doesn't humble you, you will just be hardened in sin and lost forever.

One must obey and admit they are a sinner if they want to be saved.

You don't obey Jesus! Jesus said on the sermon on the mount that we sin with just a thought or a desire that is evil. How many sinners can control their thoughts and desires? How about zero.

We have to admit we are sinners, I did that.
Jesus says to confess our sins, I did that.
Jesus says to repent of those sins, I did that.
You are the one who is rebelling against Jesus.
Why do you rebel against the words of God?
