'Papist' is a derogatory term coined during the Reformation to ridicule Catholics.
Papist, Popery, Romish, Romanism.... ....all that crap. It's like different form of the N-Word.

Can a Roman Catholic be a Christian? If not, then why not?
(Do not other churches have their little popes?)

If a zealous Jewish Pharisee who persecuted followers of Jesus Christ can become a Christian, anybody can.
Do they believe that Jesus was Christ? Yes. So, they are Christians. That's all it takes.

Constantine was a pagan history shows this
Actually, what makes a 'Christian', or more properly 'Christianity', stems from the confession of Nicea:
We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried. The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will never end.
And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified. He spoke through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and to life in the world to come. Amen.
Your simple notion gives rise to fundamental heresy, like rejection of the Trinity.
Actually, it does. You're wrongThat does not make one a Christian.......
LOL! Talk about a totally irrelevant scripture. LOLLLMat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Now THAT is actually true, although I'll bet that you don't know what that actually means.Being a Christian is to be a child of God. ......
Do you know what a Roman Catholic is? Do you even know what that means? I'll bet you don't. Everything about your posts cry out ignorance. Can a Roman Catholic be a Christian?......

That does not make one a Christian. (Being a Christian is about being led by the Spirit of Jesus, as discerned by searching one's own heart/spirit).
The above seems to be about 'the dead' who are sent to Jesus' Satanic church in an effort to have their spirits saved in the day of the lord Jesus.
1 Corinthians: 5 King James Version (KJV)
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

The confessions of Nicea are very simple, fundamental terms- if you can't agree to it, than you are not a Christian and it's just that damn easy. I consider a denier of such things to be a humanitarian, who simply uses or likes the mere idea of Jesus.
This modern world has done bargained it's way to a completely arbitrary view- to a point even, where people can't even agree with the orthodox confessions of Christianity.
