  • Yeah, it's just that the "view conversation" button only seems to show up when the message is "unread". Once I've seen it, I have to go through other ways to respond. Oh well, I think I have it figured out now.
Hi! Boy, it sure is hard to find these messages. I had to go to my profile, rather than the messages page? Weird.
I may spruce, the Easter issues has been a KJV phenom debated into infinity, I mostly wing it these days, just let the flow dictate my posts as it comes, some times the well is shallow while other times it gets deep enough to get a drink.
Yeah, the likes of Kraftwek were pioneers in the electronic genre's. I loved Autobahn and The Robots. Depeche mould and Gary Numan 80's type stuff was all right but kind of commercial.
All those early classic synths have been emulated in software, even the tuning drift on the 70's Moog synths is emulated and they sound identical to my ears. Of course some purists say they can hear the difference but |I'm sceptical. When I hear of an authentic double blind test where someone can pick out the analogue synth every time, then I'll believe it. :)
Well, I don't think I have it listed on my TOL profile. I normally give it to people privately, along with my email if they wish to converse.
I seldom post anywhere else. I am fairly invested in TOL, though I do spend a lot of time doing graphics. Do you still go onto messenger?

I don't currently have Y messenger installed on this computer.
Just for the Women's Forum ... and I have very limited power.

    How are you doing?
Well it was a while ago and things move on quickly days. Most audio work is done in software these days. Apart from audio streams and samples, even vintage synths and legacy processing units like compressors, EQ's, Reverbs, delays, choruses and filters are all digitally generated now. There are some who doggedly stick with analogue systems but even they have to record their final mix to hard disk cause no one is manufacturing tape machines or tape reels any more and old ones are falling into disrepair. The never ending march of progress, eh?

Though there is something to be said for the natural saturated sound of analogue, the allure of instant recall and editing from digital cannot be ignored. Asides, the emulated sound of analogue distortion is getting so close now it's hardly worth the trouble.
Check out the video Paulie, it's only about five minutes long. Did it quite a few years ago now.....

Cheers. I sometimes tend to get too wrapped up in those discussions when I should be doing something else, I'm a bit of a slow writer. But at list it was civil ;)
