why do liberals ALWAYS take the side of the vile?

Do you have any idea how things got to the point where it just isn't that simple?
If you did, you would not be dismissing my remarks off hand.

We were robbed blind. For whatever reason a lot of Americans who should know better seem downright star-struck by the rich.

I see you support illegal immigrants voting for Democrats.
Democrats Benefit From Illegal Immigrant Voting

It stands to reason that illegal immigrants who are illegally registered to vote would have a very real stake in seeing to it that Republicans do not come to power with their far right ideas about requiring proof of citizenship to vote (which has been required since the founding of the Republic) and to be employed in this country. After all, if these laws were seriously enforced, it might be intolerable for illegal immigrants to live in the U.S. They would, presumably, lose employment, subsidized medical care, and the right to vote for candidates for will perpetuate such a way of life.

You are a liar. Feel free to show that I said what you claim. We all know you won't, and why you won't.

this is so wrong

the liberals are by very definition, on the WRONG side of truth.

one good example: you are either FOR murdering the unborn or you are AGAINST

if you are FOR, then you are vile

it's really very simple
It's an interesting idea that reality always presents itself in "black/white," "either/or" terms. I guess I am just surprised to still hear this from YOU.

It is complete ignorance on your part to think that anyone has a voice with the current voting system.

So it's your argument that it made no difference whether Carter or Reagan won? Or is it your argument that it didn't matter who got the most votes?

Are you really that stupid?

No, it is not.

Er, unless you think nobody should have a right to vote then yes it is. Depriving part of a community based on financial means is nothing short of discrimination.

It is complete ignorance on your part to think that anyone has a voice with the current voting system.

You're talking to someone who's jaded and cynical where it comes to political parties in general. I still support people having the right to vote.

I suppose it makes you feel all warm and squishy inside to know that all the politically ignorant people that don't have any time to learn what is really going on in government will cancel out their voices by voting based on soundbites like "hope and change", if they even bother to vote at all.

In other words people who don't share your own political view? Besides which this little diatribe of yours is entirely irrelevant and there'll be plenty of those on the lower end of the wealth ladder who are politically astute and savvy, so why would you arbitrarily deprive the poor a say in election?

Barbarian writes to GO:
Predictable that you'd consider equal rights for everyone as a vile thing.

equal rights?

Yep. Equality under the law is the law of the land.

including voting?

Yep. Of course, I can't vote in New York, and a New Yorker can't vote in Texas. We have the right to vote where we are citizens. Equal rights. Same rules apply to everyone.

everyone?

All adults have the right to vote in the jurisdictions in which they are citizens. You might say that it's a violation of rights to not allow children to vote, but then all the adults had the same situation as children. So again, equal protection under the law.

including illegal immigrants?

As long as they are a citizen in the jurisdiction in which they vote. Remember, the same rules apply to everyone.

As you know, GO just lied when he claimed that I support voting by illegal aliens. And we know he knew it, because he waffled and made excuses when challenged to show where I said it.

I am saying that it didn't matter whether YOU voted for Democrat, Republican, or third party in the last three presidential elections because YOUR informed vote was swallowed up in the morass of uninformed votes.

And yes, YOU really are that stupid.

No, it is the result of a rational look at the current mess caused by opening the vote to every politically ignorant person that can be persuaded by a sound bite because they have no time to find out which candidate is worth voting for.

So what, does poor = ignorant and wealthy = learned in your view? Because as asinine as that would be it's how you're coming off here.

It's always kind of surprising, unless it comes from North Korea or ISIS. But some of that can be found right in our own country.

But I think it's dying.

I didn't lie

Doubling down on it won't save you. And everyone can see that you declined to show where I said I favored voting rights for illegal aliens. You lied, and you got caught. Go on from there.

Or continue to thrash and make excuses, and more and more people will know about it. Your choice.
