oh, i suspect there's other alternatives to choose from
On what post number did TH make this comment?
He was in a closed car and the girl turned her head and may have read his lips.
"But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." Matthew 5:28
You are suggesting Trad was lusting after her? What version of events did you read?
Poor Trad....now he's a lustful racist. The PC crowd will have accused of being a school shooter before you know it.
It's funny, but the moment I posted it I wondered if you'd understand the point or do what you just did.
That's right, Town......pretend like you had a point when you quoted a verse about lusting when the subject was racism. Go ahead. opcorn:
Oh yes, and Town quotes lusting verses when I mentioned the lady crossing the street. He must think you are secretly attracted to black ladies. This is like a "whisper game".
lain:...this is why I wondered if you had Asperger's. When you struggle to move off of or see past the literal even when holding onto it doesn't make sense it raises the question. That or it invites people to wonder if you're just a little thick. Lust as the point, by way of example, read literally, doesn't track. But the notion that what a man holds in his mind and heart is as potent and answerable for as what he does with his body, that's a different story.
I know my choice, but on the point, when LH told us he had AS I went out to find out what that really meant. The first place, among a few, that I went to understand how it could play into interractions was WebMD, where I learned that it is typical of people with AS that, "They also tend to have problems understanding language in context and are very literal in their use of language."She either has a communication problem like AS or she was being slimy. You pick.

I posted my comment on AS.It was on your dialogue thread, Trad.
So...I can add vocabulary to your list of struggles.
But from your perspective who isn't?
No, I can honestly say I have no idea how stupid you are. I'm mostly wondering how stupid you have to think everyone else is to try this bit.
Except that I didn't do that or put it that way, which is why I quoted what I actually had to say and why she doesn't.
Which I literally never did.
I really think the N bomb dropping and musical choices made that one of the most anticlimactic moments in TOL history though.
Also not something I did. lain:
Like I said, you just don't get inference.

Do you see how GD twists words and latches on to a mistake, then she keeps harping on it.
I posted my comment on AS.
As to her stream of posts:
"...this is why I wondered if you had Asperger's. When you struggle to move off of or see past the literal even when holding onto it doesn't make sense it raises the question. That or it invites people to wonder if you're just a little thick."
So, either she has a legitimate reason for missing inference or she's not that bright. It's an either/or, but once again she either doesn't get it or doesn't want to or can't understand it.

No. As I noted more than once you've displayed this inability to get a fairly clear inference more than once. lain: This was just the latest example where you missed it.So Town finds a famous verse about lust and adultery ...."That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart" to claim it supports this personal "notion" of his.
Those who don't get a series of inferences must be impaired in some form or fashion. Sure. And those who didn't guess that was the NOTION he was going for must surely have some syndrome or simply be "thick".
In the same way a mathematician fancies his degree. :idunno: It was something I did reasonably well for a reasonably long time. I'm more interested in the next step now.The Town Clown fancies himself an attorney?
You'd be fine. Lawyers lead juries around gently enough.Really? I'd hate to be on a jury having to try to imagine where he was going with his "argument". :chuckle:

No, it wasn't. You have a real problem with inference. Anna had no trouble seeing the point and you ran to the bizarre notion that I was speaking to lust, a literal application that reason should have negated. At worst you should have thought, "What is he trying to get to." But no, you just knew. And you knew what no one should, thinking it over, believe.Neither your either nor your or comes anywhere close to the truth. Your "inference" was a stupid one and you've gone through all these gyrations rather than admit it.
Except you're arguing for a thing you don't evidence. Perception of the nonliteral reading of a thing, let alone a person.Unfortunately for you, I see through your trail of manure
No, that's just the outcome you obviously want...because you keep going back to it. For the record, I'm smiling. Because it's been a while since someone like you did more than that to me.and it stinks to high heaven of hurt pride.
No, you do. You just don't realize it.You have been caught with your pants down, and you should stop trying to hide your scorn. You're bad at it. You end up making nonsensical sentences that hide none of your true feelings. Just out with it, little "smart" guy. I don't bite.

So either you're blinded by your emotions or you're just not that sharp. You've negated the possibility of the limitation being something else.
Despite what's been posted to the contrary, I'm pretty sure you were speaking of intent, not lust.
What can you come up with? :idunno:
