For such high learning, his rhetoric is the opposite of articulate.
Not if you understand the meaning of articulate.

His words dance around on the page in what appears something akin to Shakespeare but these word structures are intended to confuse and befuddle.
Why I'm responsible for your reading comprehension is anyone's guess.

The motivation to create this style of rhetoric is to be to insult
Now that was inarticulate.

and then be able to act like it was the furthest from his mind.
Well, no. But thanks for thinking of me, again.

Ah, I think you've hit the nail on the head (please don't miss the inference there). ;)

Town is having to tiptoe through his land mine of insults....he can't let them be seen as the insults they are (being too "classy" a hypocrite to be obvious in any way). So, we end up having to wade through this gobbedygook of pretentious rhetoric filled with innuendo.

He's actually like a comical character from some old classic novel who takes himself seriously and drinks his tea with extended pinky while he bloviates.

Priceless. He simply can't keep himself from showing his bum.
I understand why you'd rather have a clear shot free from answer, but it's adorable that you try to make the answer the problem. :)

Else, which of you three is my bum again?

And all I have to do is make a post for everyone to see you, apparently.

Town's comment would only feel insulting to someone who does not consider AS to be their challenge in life, because who want's to act autistic online if they are not?

On what post number did TH make this comment?

Here's my comment about Asperger's.
No. One of the limitations of people who suffer from Asperger's is a difficulty in understanding inference. You appear to suffer from the same limitation, if without the understandable excuse.

I'm not making fun of people with Asperger's. And as it pertained to you I mean it, literally. Your response to my scripture about lust was a fine illustration of precisely what I'm speaking to.

No. One of the limitations of people who suffer from Negroism is a difficulty in understanding anything. You appear to suffer from the same limitation, if without the understandable excuse.

That was a big fail for really basic reasons.

This is not about unfairly making blanket statements about people who don't share symptoms or hallmark traits, this is about an actual observable symptom of a syndrome called AS. It's natural to wonder if the symptom is a product of that communication barrier.

As someone with AS I am not embarrassed about the particular strengths and weaknesses associated with the condition. I can see how a particular autistic trait being perceived in a typical individual might bother them, however.

Frankly, I think it's also a best-case scenario if the inference just slipped by her, otherwise we might conclude she was trying to slime TH by making a false inference to his meaning by quoting that scripture.

I didn't know you had AS. I knew Trad and LH do. Well, I'm sorry if my potentially associating you in any meaningful way with glory offended you. Else, :thumb: Well said and God bless you.

not all people with aspergers have difficulty in understanding inference

That's right, but then some can understand but are slow on the pickup at times. :) No big deal. It's a communication thing, not really a smarts thing.

I think this place is an Asperger's magnet, honestly. A lot of us like to be hyper-intellectual and get a chance to be social at the same time without the pressure of eye contact and rapid body language decoding.

There are a few more AS members but I will let them share that if they want.
