Trad, do you dislike black people?

Pointing out the fact that someone said one thing one day and another thing the next? :plain:

That literally had nothing to do with Asperger's, unless you're saying he has Asperger's. If so, it's news to me.

For those late to the ballgame, here's the entire thing she's speaking to:

Somehow, our resident Martyr Superior is considering that to relate to Asperger's and me doing...who knows. It's just loony.

Which isn't actually a thing or present in the example...I begin to suspect you just tried and overcompensated for an inability to get the inferential. There wasn't an inference. There would have been if I'd simply left his two quotes to argue against each other, but I didn't. I noted the problem presented by it. Unless you consider the mouth comment difficult.

Else, you're welcome.

Then he rivals the Jester with one of his pompous lectures, failing to see how silly he really is. He isn't called The Town Clown for nothing. ;)

For those of you who missed it, that was glory not actually sustaining the point that my post, which had nothing to do with Asperger's, was an insult aimed at people with Asperger's. :plain: So it's not only inference that she struggles with.

words are words

they lie still on the page until someone speaks them

and then, town would have you believe, they take on a life of their own and rampage through the world :chuckle:

Don't forget how they can stop long enough to grab a Bible verse that infers some evil racist thought of it's own. .

For those who have missed my intent, it's to rub Town's nose in his bigotry wherever I can manage to fit it in.
He's such an intellectual snob that he casts aspersions on those who he deems not able to understand his high-minded words.

He had hoped to say how stupid I am without actually saying it. :)

But it backfired, because he has ended up belittling those with Asperger Syndrome by insisting that must be why I'm so "thick" as he put it. Saying people with Asperger Syndrome are too thick to get his inferences is worse than Trad's racism....at least Trad admits he doesn't like blacks.

Town is so conceited he thinks he can claim I don't know what it means to speak out of both sides of one's mouth.....at least that's what he's implying now.
Funny, since I use that term quite often and have even used it on him. Silly Town...such a clown.

So...I can add vocabulary to your list of struggles.

He's such an intellectual snob
But from your perspective who isn't?

He had hoped to say how stupid I am without actually saying it. :)
No, I can honestly say I have no idea how stupid you are. I'm mostly wondering how stupid you have to think everyone else is to try this bit.

But it backfired[/B], because he has ended up belittling those with Asperger Syndrome by insisting that must be why I'm so "thick" as he put it.

Except that I didn't do that or put it that way, which is why I quoted what I actually had to say and why she doesn't.

Saying people with Asperger Syndrome are too thick to get his inferences

Which I literally never did.

is worse than Trad's racism....at least Trad admits he doesn't like blacks.
I really think the N bomb dropping and musical choices made that one of the most anticlimactic moments in TOL history though.

Town is so conceited he thinks he can claim I don't know what it means to speak out of both sides of one's mouth.
Also not something I did. :plain:

....at least that's what he's implying now.
Like I said, you just don't get inference.

Where's the disagreement, then?
You tell me. I'm pretty sure you interjected believing we disagreed on a point. But I haven't changed my position. Not with Angel and not with you.

All I'm seeing in this thread now is discussion about the discussion. Not the topic of the thread itself.
Oh, I had that conversation with Trad and Angel took exception and it eventually landed us in this side bar about rhetorical choices and values. I think. It's been so long down this rabbit hole I'd have to go back and look for a while to be certain.

Funny, since I use that term quite often and have even used it on him. Silly Town...such a clown.

For such high learning, his rhetoric is the opposite of articulate. His words dance around on the page in what appears something akin to Shakespeare but these word structures are intended to confuse and befuddle. The motivation to create this style of rhetoric is to be to insult and then be able to act like it was the furthest from his mind.

Now I understand why Doser calls you a Retard.

No, I can honestly say I have no idea how stupid you are. I'm mostly wondering how stupid you have to think everyone else is to try this bit.

If you're so convinced no one will believe "this bit", why do you expend so much energy trying to convince others I "struggle" in any way? I would think my lack of vocabulary skills and my inability to understand your clever inferences would be obvious without your having to enumerate them and expound on them the way you seem compelled to do.

Except that I didn't do that or put it that way, which is why I quoted what I actually had to say and why she doesn't.

Yes, I know. You haven't done anything wrong. That's where this whole thing started, and here we are once again. Town didn't do it. :chuckle:
