I know it sounds crazy, but Hungarian women are some of the most beautiful women in the world. Who would have thought?

Also add to the Balkan (Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, etc.) and Russian to that lot......

 Be careful with those Eastern European girls though. Ever see the movie, Hostel?

Beautiful.....but you might wake up somewhere you don't want to be. :noid:

How good have the Yankees been? Below are how Yankees stack up as a franchise and the next best team.

Franchise Winning Percentage
.568- New York Yankees
.538- NY/SF Giants

World Series titles
27- New York Yankees
10- St. Louis Cardinals

Pennants
40- New York Yankees
22- Brooklyn/LA dodgers

Games over .500
2322- New York Yankees
1484- NY/SF Giants

1949-53 Yankees won 5 straight World Series
1936-39 Yankees won 4 straight World Series
1998-00 Yankees won 3 straight World Series (and 4 in 5 years)

-Only one other team has won 3 straight World Series (1972-74 Oakland A's)

- From 1949-1964 (16 years) the Yankees played in 14 World Series.

I agree, no other team comes close to the Yankees.

You could add the Packers and Steelers Championships together (19) and it would still be less than the Yankees.

The Celtics and Lakers have 33 titles combined. That's only 6 more titles than the Yankees have (27)

Tet, You're a Pittsburgh guy and you haven't mentioned the 1935 Pittsburgh Crawfords? Many consider this team the greatest baseball ever assembled, black or white. This team had five Hall of Famers with three of those players considered among the greatest at their positions. :D

They say Cool Papa Bell was so fast that when he hit a line drive up the middle he had to duck when he rounded second base.

I kid you not, when I was a kid, I heard this said about 1,000 times from old people whenever the Crawfords or the Homestead Grays were brought up in conversation.

From nations where sport includes competing against other nations...

The New Zealand men's national rugby union team is called the All Blacks. Rugby union is regarded as New Zealand's national sport. They won the inaugural Rugby World Cup, are the leading points scorers of all time and the only international rugby team with a winning record against every test nation they have ever played. The All Blacks have held the top ranking in the world for longer than all other countries combined and in over 100 years only five of the top twenty ranked test rugby nations have ever beaten New Zealand.
New Zealand competes annually with Australia and South Africa in the Tri Nations, and are currently champions for the tenth time in the tournament's 15-year history. They are the current holders of the Bledisloe Cup, competed for annually with Australia, the Freedom Cup, contested annually with South Africa, and have completed a Grand Slam four times (in 1978, 2005, 2008 and 2010), defeating all four Home Nations during one tour.
The All Blacks have won a record 75% of all rugby matches they have ever played since 1903 and they were named the International Rugby Board (IRB) Team of the Year in 2005, 2006, 2008 and a record fourth time in 2010. Their captain, Richie McCaw is the International Rugby Board Player of the Year for a record third time and fifteen former All Blacks have been inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame, one into the IRB Hall of Fame.

Certainly there is no disputing that The Evil empire, the Yankees, are the greatest Baseball team of all time: mostly because they can always afford to be....... Starting with the buying of the greatest baseball player of all time, Babe Ruth, from my beloved Red Sox.

Football is certainly the Packers, with their long history of Championships over many decades, compared to the Steelers.

Basketball is easily the Boston Celtics with 17 Championships over the LA Lakers with 11. Chicago would be third, with six?.... and the Minneapolis Lakers of the white ball era of the primitive 1950's, with five, a distant fourth.

In hockey, which is a second tier sport in this country, but not Canada, it is easily the Montreal Canadiens.

They are to hockey what the Yankees are to baseball. There is not even a close second, as in football and basketball.

The Canadians won 10 of their championships when the NHL only had SIX teams for 25 years (the original six)

Its a lot easier to win multiple championships when there are only six teams and no free agency.

The Toronto Maple Leafs won 9 championships in that same 25 year span.

IMO, the Canadians are over rated. It has been almost 20 years since they last won the Cup.
