Close to what I am doing now, a professor at a small college but hopefully in an awesome town with great restaurants and schools, and closer to my family. I'd hope for a bit more field/upper level classes with more research but with someone to write my grants for me.

After some brain-searching, I'm leaving professional academics to pursue my own research and write. I love teaching, but I cannot say the same for academic bureaucracy or the sheer number of pretentious academics. Basically, I made/saved enough money to do exactly what I want to do for the foreseeable future.
