All presidents are swayed by money and power, there is no good president imo. Why? Because we have the federal reserve and private bankers. Nuff said
Modern debt slavery.
Global oligarchy = slave master
Money = whip
Government = slave boss
Citizens = slaves
Obama's just another modern-day slave boss. Oh, the irony.
Obama is the establishment’s attempt to put a new face on its old, tired, and worn out nostrums. Fewer and fewer people are buying, but the compulsion machine just keeps on centralizing the money flows. It knows no better. Top-down government centralization doesn’t work, but the machine keeps running.
Tee he... talk about an understatement! :chuckle:
Yes! Former President Carter was an excellent example of: if you find yourself with a large problem, find a way to make it worse.Anyone remember the 70s?
Belly-Laugh Of The Day! :first:He's the best president in my memory, which goes back to Johnson.
He was handed 2 wars, a financial meltdown, and a huge loss of respect for the US around the world.
The right hate him because of two things: racism, both blatant and subconscious, and fear, fear that admitting the truth about what they've done to the country and the world, and admitting the truth about the good that Obama has done will effectively end the Republican party in the US.
Belly-Laugh Of The Day! :first:
1. The problems you mention surfaced when the Democrats became the majority part in both houses of Congress. Coupled with a bunch of spineless politicians known as "moderate Republicans", one has an inept domestic policy and a failing foreign policy.
2. The only racism evident throughout the Obama campaign came from the Obama campaign. It was a non-issue among Republicans and conservatives. The blatant fear of the truth (and whatever subconscious driveling you have in mind) exists only in the minds of liberals and Democrats.
3. Effectively, the "good" Obama has done has crippled the economy and led to a new sense of schadenfreude among foreign governments. No President before Obama has ever humiliated himself and the United States in front of the world, as he has done and continues to do. As far as ending the Republican Party, no. Democrats and liberals have to have someone to blame their arrogant incompetence on.
Comfort yourself with the Huffington Post and the Daily Kos. I'm sure they would agree with you.
Granting that President Obama, like all presidents before him, inherited serious problems which were not of his making. However, he asked, fought, made deals and promised his way into the job. My two main issues with him are 1. Competency, he is not showing himself to have the skills necessary to handle the complexities of the job. 2. The machine which guaranteed his victory is now cashing in on the promises he made to them and they are now raping this country down to the bones. When the tax burden finally overwhelms the middle class and the very wealthy leave the country on whom shall the useless parasites feed? We are facing a breakdown of far reaching consequences. God help my grandchildren and yours. bybee
Nah. If the answer to "What's wrong with our country?" could be set at the feet of the Democratic party and occasionally controlled Congress then every ill could have and would have been reversed under a Republican dominated Congress and that didn't happen. This isn't a party problem, it's a people problem...as in, let's see what I can get from special interests (right or left) and for my constituents that will keep me in power, long term consequences be hanged.1. The problems you mention surfaced when the Democrats became the majority part in both houses of Congress.
And how did the Obama campaign evidence racism? :squint: As for "the only" bit, it depends on how you mean it. I don't recall "Don't elect the N[redacted]" signs at conservative rallies, but I do recall the Muslim nonsense and stress being placed on things as significant as his second name...these are the more socially acceptable labels to bandy about in an attempt to marginalize someone and point out their (real or imagined) distinction and difference from the main stream. As for Carter's comments, while I don't share the broad sentiment and ascribe it to his age and experience, I do understand it to be far more reaching than many here appear willing to accept.2. You're naive if you believe that...or it's different in your neck of the woods (and if so, thank God for it, but I saw the same sort of hooks being gleefully supported to the north and west and east of us).It was a non-issue among Republicans and conservatives.
Okay, that's just nonsense and you know it.The blatant fear of the truth (and whatever subconscious driveling you have in mind) exists only in the minds of liberals and Democrats.
Last I looked the economy was widely thought to have improved since and was wrecked prior to his taking office.3. Effectively, the "good" Obama has done has crippled the economy
What governments and how do you arrive at this?and led to a new sense of schadenfreude among foreign governments.
If he crawled on his belly (instead of offering a gesture echoed by any number of foreign heads of state) he couldn't lower the world opinion more than our past holder of office did by means of real and meaningful action. So if I have a ceremonial nod on the one hand and a unilateral act of war/invasion on the other...lain:No President before Obama has ever humiliated himself and the United States in front of the world, as he has done and continues to do.
Why don't they just do like you and eat their own? They can call them DINOs...As far as ending the Republican Party, no. Democrats and liberals have to have someone to blame their arrogant incompetence on.

Prefaced with I don't share the view that racism moves much of the right anymore than I believe that the Democratic party is a socialist movement...okay, that said...

By way of anecdotal, I was at a rally for a candidate I support recently who was running for a commission post (and hold onto your socks, Frank, he's a conservative Republican) and among those at the rally and equally enthusiastic in their support were men and women of color...but while I was eating (the famous Southern political fish-fry) an older, well educated and respected member of the community, discussing Obama, said, "I still can't believe this country elected a [redacted] President."
It goes like this in the South, each generation takes a step forward but the progress is a long way from complete. One of my grandfathers disdained the race. His son didn't and I find the practice peculiar, but I watched my father's generation struggle with their discomfort while reaching about for some other hook to hang it on. Republican strategists knew this and offered a few.

What would happen if DINOs took over the Democrat party? :think:

Are you actually serious about the first thing? Whites got him elected over Hillary. You cannot blame all problems on racism, even though you so desire, it is not much a reality today.
I have heard some 'right-wingers' say he would be better than Hillary, so what is it?
Your second point is vague, but if you could flesh it out a bit, there my be some arguable point to be made.
Anyone remember the 70s?
It's pretty simple really, if Obama is successful in implementing a fair portion of his agenda the United States of America will not be the same nation it was when he came into office.
Obama is out to destroy everything that America stands for, place the blame on capitalism and then send pure socialism in to the "rescue".
