And the Torah laws and prohibitions remain valid.

Is that what the NT teaches?

The law and the prophets were until John, since that time the kingdom of God is preached and every man presseth into it.
(Luke 16:16)

The Hebrew Bible was about the kingdom of Israel, the NT is about the kingdom of God.

The church of God will eventually restore the kingdom of Israel under the leadership of Jesus Christ.

Yes continuance is key to a perfect law- up to John and beyond-

Read the next verse and ask, have heaven and earth passed away? Because that would be easier than the law to be changed -

His kingdom remains not of this world

The law hasn't changed, God simply rendered it inoperable.

inoperable is changed yes? The verse clarifies it would be easier for heaven and earth to pass away than the law to fail...

as if fulfilling a traffic law renders it obsolete for the driver behind me...

or that by fulfilling the traffic law god allows no law driving

Nope, the law was not changed it was simply nullified by God.

Oh goody - a lawless kingdom

And before that if you wish to show your love for Him and witness to others exactly Whose promise you'll receive, you do what? Anything you want or what He commanded - if you love Him...

This is really not that difficult. The law requires a sanctuary and the Aaronic priesthood to service the sanctuary. God fired the priesthood and destroyed the sanctuary.

So now God has a different sanctuary and a different priesthood.

God did not change the law and we can read it in the Hebrew Bible. However, God fixed it so that no one can keep the law as written.

What kingdom? The kingdom of Israel has not existed for several years now and the current State of Israel does not have a king.

you started this in post #81

so take your pick...but I think either kingdom would need laws which you claim are now nullifieded...

and, according to you, the laws...

So now God has a different sanctuary and a different priesthood.
with the same law...on earth as it is in heaven

you cant divide the house and expect it to stand

God did not change the law and we can read it in the Hebrew Bible.
good yes please leave it at that

However, God fixed it so that no one can keep the law as written.

I said please...lol

God fixed it so that no one can keep the law?

NO ONE was EVER able to keep it...even enoch moses and eliyah would have to come back if the sacrifice of Yahusha would not be valid and/or suffice...

Yahusha actually fixed it that any who believe and obey by covering themselves with the blood are Passed over by the angel of death at the final judgement...covered in Yahusha's blood they appear to have kept the law...

that's fixed alright but so anybody CAN keep the law

...but the law remains...to point out the need for salvation

and the law is desired to be kept out of sheer gratitude because those who love Him wish to obey...at least try

your identity is determined by your fealty

The Passover is about the firstborn, no one else was in jeopardy. That's still true today.

Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?”

No, the word is very near you, it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. (Deuteronomy 30:11-14)

Was Moses speaking for God? If so then God did not think it could not be kept.

Three times a year all your men must appear before the LORD your God at the place he will choose: at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks and the Festival of Tabernacles. No one should appear before the LORD empty-handed.
(Deuteronomy 16:16)

If you are a man and you keep the law then you must be making preparations to attend the feast in Jerusalem this Sunday.

When will you be leaving or are you already in Jerusalem?

first born of the Egyptians...but why would they obey a foreign god?

the Hebrews obeyed and by doing so helped the angel of death out by designated themselves as obedient followers of Yah...every family had a firstborn and as a symbol it meant something to everyone...

and is still true today is why Paul hurried to Passover even after the death and resurrection...believers still keep the calendar

You were the one who said something about God fixing it so no one can keep it as written.
yes post #89

"God did not change the law and we can read it in the Hebrew Bible. However, God fixed it so that no one can keep the law as written."

I maintain everyone is expected to but no one was able to...but Yahusha's covering blood makes it appear so.

Of course God fully expects us to keep the law...at least try.

Is why at Pentecost He put it back into the hearts and minds of the early followers of the Way...no more need for a Temple or its blood letting sacrifices...

first born of the Egyptians...

Firstborn of everyone, man and beast.

For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast, and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment, I am the LORD. (Exodus 12:12)
