Anyone who wants to be saved and have wisdom from God, all they have to do is do what Jesus says to do.

Jesus says to fear God, humble yourself, admit you are a sinner. Can you recall your sins? Are you sorry for those sins? Did you confess them and repent of them? Is your heart also capable of forgiving others? Did you prove your repentance by doing right? Did you call on Jesus to save you?

Okay then, Peter tells those who are already saved that if they are not obeying, they are in danger of losing their salvation.

A person can claim they cast out demons in the name of Jesus, but if they themselves do not obey Jesus and repent of their sins, they they do not know God.

You need to grasp that we do not do for salvation. As such, before or after salvation is irrelevant.
