There is no other system. We simply rep each other and our rep power grows.
Explain your rep threads within your soots forum. You're the one who posted your CP showing the Rep Rampage and Rep Thread IV threads.

It's a fair question. I answered it early on, but it's easy to miss in all the posting going around and I'm happy to relate it.Since we are discussing ....
Why was there no mention from you to make your rep score invisible before the reset when YOU had a incredibly large amount of rep to display?
Who else doesn't want me to pos rep them?
I'll start a list and try my best to remember not to rep you. If I happen to slip up and rep something of yours that I like, please forgive me and give a reminder to check my list again.
Thanks.
So far, my list includes:
Anna
You realize you keep sidestepping around the main issue. You don't quote and answer the parts of my posts where I'm addressing it directly.

I wrote as much a while back. You don't read a post then consider it by the light of that number, if you're sane. The post will ultimately speak for itself....Don't you have better things to do? Your reputation score is utterly insignificant. Lighthouse, e.g., can have a billion rep power, and everyone else can have 0. That doesn't really change anything about Lighthouse or his posting quality, or even his actual reputation (i.e., how he is actually viewed by other posters and site viewers).
There I think you make a mistake which surprises me given your background. There is a thing put in play which purports to represent a thing it in fact doesn't. And you're required to participate in that at present. It's okay for people to be unhappy about that, even if it's only a little lie they're being forced to tell and/or accept. This entire thread is utterly juvenile.

Because the larger decisions we make begin with the small ones, even the relatively trivial ones. I don't think you'd suggest that my requiring you to sin even a little is something you'd be juvenile to object to.
No, it was supposed to be a reflection of how the community you've involved yourself in considers your contributions. And there's nothing wrong with finding proportionate value in that if you do. Nothing wrong with being unconcerned about it either, given.
If what people thought of you was immaterial you'd live in a hermitage. If how our reputation was reflected for public consumption was without value we wouldn't have laws relating to defamation and no one would ever sue over a disreputable report.
You realize that you are sidestepping the issue. You don't want these soot members you speak of to be repping you. The issue of how you could possibly know if all the reps you get are from a non-soot group member is puzzling, unless you have an official list showing who is a current member of said group. You realize you keep sidestepping around the main issue. You don't quote and answer the parts of my posts where I'm addressing it directly.
Those who consistently break rules should have lower reputation than those who don't.That's just silly. If I hang out at a social club, and 10 people don't like me, whereas 90 people think I am great, then I have a really good reputation. Even if the club owners don't like me, but literally everyone else does, my reputation is amazing.![]()
It works exactly as VBulletin set it up to work. Knight made some customizations that he was allowed to make, but nothing like what you whiners are imagining, since the program doesn't allow for such things. I know this because I asked for certain changes that cannot be made.So it's not just about puffing up the ego, it's about lusting for power, too? :chuckle:
On this sit we are the in crowd. Get over it.Yup, legends in the universe of your own imaginations. :first:

No he's not. Nobody is.And you're required to participate in that at present.

If so, then you have seen something I have never seen.
So how are you going to determine if all the reps you get are "fair"?
Do you have some official list of these members you speak of? I don't.
:idunno:
What is a "soot"? :idunno:
You realize that you are sidestepping the issue.
As for not having control over it... that's not really true. If you thought the system was unjust as it's set up (and you know it's set up differently for your group), you could opt out of it.
First, your page shows you're a member of Soots. But you already know that. You don't want these soot members you speak of to be repping you. … To pump up your count so you look like the site 'big shots' and can 'punish' and 'reward' people using the rep system. Shallow, tawdry, pathetic, … these are the words that come to mind. But hey, if that's how you roll …Those who consistently break rules should have lower reputation than those who don't.
Also, if it worked as I suggested then newbies would know what people believed the primary beliefs of the site runners, and who did not. Generally speaking.

That's one way of putting it.To be clear, I want everyone to understand what Tambora has basically said:
"Who else doesn't want me to put gold star stickers on their shirts? I'll start a list and try my best not to stick them on your shirts when you display behaviors that I like.
So far, Anna doesn't want my gold star stickers."
I realize how stupid you are.You realize how stupid this is, yes?
That's one way of putting it.
Yep, that's what I'm asking --- Who else does not want a gold star (rep) from me?
I realize how stupid you are.
There is nothing stupid about asking if there are other folks besides Anna that request that I not give them any of my reps (gold stars). It is a request that I will try to oblige.
And there is not a darn thing wrong or stupid about it.
I have 60 reps a day i can hand out (and so does everyone else), if i want to hand up to 10 of them to one person each day if i want for whatever reason i want, whats it to anyone?
They are mine to hand out as i see fit.
