The Gospel of Reconciliation Refutes the Calvinist Doctrine of Predestination

You apparently don't have a clue as to what the Gospel is.

All that Jesus is and all that Jesus did was for our justification. No one would be saved if Jesus had not fulfilled and abolished the law for us, Ephesians 2:15. He fulfilled the law for us because we can't. Can you fulfill the law? No, you can't fulfill the law because you are a sinner. Jesus fulfilled the law and took us out from under it because it is contrary to us, Colossians 2:14.

Robert,

Is a person saved who does not believe Christ's life saves him, but trusts only His DBR?

Robert,

There are many that do not believe that the life of Jesus saves them. What this leads to is legalism. If you don't believe that Jesus is the end and the fulfillment of the law for righteousness, then you will try to fill that void with your own life. Paul said that we are complete in Christ, Colossians 2:10. Jesus has victoriously fulfilled and abolished the law for us.

We don't have to believe this to be saved, but it helps.

abolished the law for us, Ephesians 2:15.

You once more satanically assert that the law is abolished.

No, it has not been abolished, and "fulfilled," abolished," are not synonymous terms-you keep spamming that, and misinterpreting Ephesians 2:15 KJV.

Pate:

- Murder, theft,lying....................................... .......................................are all OK, as there is no law, as it was allegedly abolished, to condemn them,

-everyone is saved, as when there is no law, there is no trangression, and sin is not imputed, where there is no law.

-the lost cannot come to know what sin is, and the law is not a schoolmaster, to bring them to Christ, as it was abolished....

And the scripture does say, slick one, that "THE LAW OF COMMANDMENTS contained in the ordinances" was abolished in the flesh, but that is not saying the law of Moses, God's holy law, the laws against theft, murder, rape, coveting..........................have been abolished Pate, as you satanically made up, misinterpret.

Romans 3:20 KJV Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Galatians 3 KJV
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Read it-"that"

Tell us, Pate-did the law serve as a schoolmaster, to bring you to Christ, as it did Paul? Did it reveal what sin is, as it did Paul?

Answer, Pate.

Pate- out with Romans 3:20 KJV, Galatians 3:24-25 KJV.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Pate: There is no law-it was abolished-it no longer exist-no transgression-everyone is saved.

Romans 4:15 KJV

because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

Pate: There is no law-it was abolished-it no longer exists. Thus, no law, no law can be broken/transgressed-everyone is saved.

Romans 5:13 KJV

(for until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

Pate: There is no law-it was abolished-it no longer exists. Thus, if there is no law, it cannot be imputed to anyone-everyone is saved.

Sloppy satanism, you post, Pate.

Jesus has victoriously fulfilled and abolished the law for us.

Colossians 2:10 is not referencing the law, deceiver.

Abolished the law, you satanically assert?

Romans 7 KJV
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Answer, Pate.

He won't touch this- third time asked.

The law is the schoolmaster that brings us to Christ because no one can do it or keep it.

Whether you like it or not the Bible teaches that the law has been fulfilled and abolished.

Do you want to be under the law?

Are you drunk? How can the law bring anyone to Christ, if it no longer exists? How can anyone come to the knowledge of sin, through the law, if the law no longer exists, Pate?

"For the sake of argument," so, since it no longer exists, then the lost cannot be brought to Christ, and come to know what sin is. That is satanic.

Do you want to be under the law?

Quite irrelevant, and drunken response. How can anyone be under the law, if it no longer exists, Pate?

Murder, covetousness, are OK, according to Pate, as there is no law against it.

=satanic

I don't have to be good enough to be saved. Jesus was good enough for me.

Saved from what? Since sin is the transgression of the law, and where there is no law, there is no transgression, there is no transgression from which to be saved.

1 John 3 KJV

4 for sin is the transgression of the law.

Romans 4:15 KJV Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

[What sin?, Johnny :freak:] How can the law bring anyone to Christ, Pate, if it no longer exists?
God's law is perpetual and ongoing (Mt 5:18). When did God nail do not murder, do not commit adultery to the cross? :smokie: Mal 4:4-6, Mt 24:14

As a reminder john w is number 58 on Satan, Inc. (TOL Heretics list) in "The 'Jesus is not God' people (Non-trinitarians) category. :burnlib:

Since you're ignoring the other points, Robert, there is something you need to clarify.

When you said the Law has been abolished, did you mean it is abolished only for those in Christ? Or abolished in toto for everyone, gone, history, kaput?

The law has been abolished only for those that are in Christ.

Before God imparts the Holy Spirit to a believer God must see that person as perfect and complete in Christ. If you are still under the law you cannot be perfect and complete in Christ. Instead you are under condemnation and judgment.

Condescending punk.

Romans 5:9 KJV is referring to His obedience by going to the cross, not by Him keeping "God's Holy Law" in our place, Pate=vicarious law keeping. That is a perversion of the gospel of Christ, and is the same trash Nang espouses. You talk like her-she talks like you.

If you are arguing that His life of obedience, while He walked the earth, in keeping the law at "100% compliance," is credited to our account, imputed, that is "vicarious law keeping," and is unbiblical.

Jesus said that he fulfilled every jot and tittle of the law, Matthew 5:18.

I have asked you several times, Who did he fulfill the law for? You refuse to answer because you know that he fulfilled the law for us who are Christians.

When exactly was the Law fulfilled, Robert?

After Jesus fulfilled the law for it was abolished.

While Jesus was dying on the cross God tore the veil that covered the "Holy of Holies" from the top to the bottom, this signified the end of the Old Covenant, the law and the Jewish religion, Matthew 27:51. This was the end and the fulfillment of the law.

Christians are no longer subject to the law because it has been fulfilled and abolished.

If Jesus had not fulfilled the law for us, he would not have been able to abolish it for us.

Christ is our righteousness. He is righteous because he met all of the demands of God's law for us.

This is where you aren't consistent, as JohnW keeps pointing out. The Law is the Law; it cannot be abolished (as you define it) yet still be in force. And as he keeps telling you, it has not been abolished.

Your view is wrong on this point. You have it completely backwards. For believers, it isn't that the Law was fulfilled on their behalf -- Paul nowhere says that. The Law doesn't change.

The exact opposite is the case: instead of the Law being abolished for the believer (implying a change to the Law), it is the BELIEVER who is changed by being declared dead to the Law via co-crucifixion and co-death with Christ.

Rom 7:4

Gal 2:19

Does Paul tell the Galatians that the Law has been abolished for them? No, he says just the opposite -- they are no longer under Law because they are counted as having died with Christ.
