We need to undersrtand that the Devil does not come in his own name, the Devil does not say "I am Satan the Devil follow me", no, he says "I am Jesus flollow me",
then the Devil teaches people all the lies that people believe. The trick is to know the defferance between the real Jesus and the Devil, one can know this if one knows
the truth which is very hard to know.

What did Vincent of Lerins teach about how we can know the truth, when interpreting the Scriptures for ourselves?

DuckDuckGo DuckAssist:
“ Vincent of Lerins taught that to know the truth when interpreting Scriptures, one should follow the principles of universality, antiquity, and consent, meaning that beliefs should be held by the whole Church, have historical roots, and be agreed upon by the majority of Church Fathers. He emphasized that while Scripture is complete and sufficient, its depth can lead to various interpretations, so the Church's tradition is also essential for understanding. ”

That doesn’t sound right to me. If that was true, then the Catholic Church would have some sound doctrine, and I didn’t see much when I was there.

I don’t believe satan is stupid enough to say he is God, and he prefers to keep people distracted with the world and the flesh.

Men (false prophets) can claim to be His mouthpiece and claim to speak for Him, for instance, so people should be wary, for sure.

I guess that first demands a church be named. Catholic, Mormon, Jehovah Witness, Pentecostal? The Bible and the Holy Spirit should do the trick.
