Hall of Fame
it actually started shortly after vatican 2
-there was a significant increase in seminarians
-at the time they had no reason to believe that homosexuals would have a problem with celibacy
-it took a long time before the problem surfaced
-and
-many homosexuals became bishops
-they protected themselves
-with the help of a lot of liberals
-it will take a long time to clean up this mess
-thanks for asking

And yet, the RCO asserts that "it" is "infallible." Deception.

That is what your religion says..... What does Gods Word say?
Lets check the Jehovah Witness translation

FIRST.....
1Timothy 1:17 "Now to the King of eternity,+ incorruptible,+ invisible,+ the only God,+ be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen."

How long is forever and ever?

Revelation 5:13 "And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and underneath the earth+ and on the sea, and all the things in them, saying: “To the One sitting on the throne+ and to the Lamb+ be the blessing and the honor+ and the glory and the might forever and ever.”

How long is forever and ever?

Now..... Damnation
Rev. 19:3 "And right away for the second time they said: “Praise Jah!*+ And the smoke from her goes on ascending forever and ever.”

How long is forever and ever?

Re. 20:3 "And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulfur, where both the wild beast+ and the false prophet already were;+ and they will be tormented* day and night forever and ever. "

How long is forever and ever?

OK let's see what God's Word says. You quote ITimothy 1:17. You undoubtedly believe that it is referring to Jesus, like verse 16. But it's not....it refers to God, the Father, Jehovah. All honor and glory went to him, and that can be ascertained by reading every opening to each of Paul's letters. (It is cross-referenced to I Corinthians 8:4-6.)

Forever and ever usually means without end.

What is your point about this?

The scripture does not say what you say. The scripture says Jesus preached to those WHO ARE NOW DEAD. Just believe.

No it doesn't. It says: Jesus was made alive in the spirit "in which he went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, who once were disobedient...in the days of Noah." (IPeter 3:18-20)

Nothing there about those who are now dead! Can you see that?

It was about Jesus proclaiming something to the DEMONS in their spiritually darkened state of being.

The lake of fire has not happened yet. Prove from the scriptures that angels die. Prove it now or concede.

Obviously they can die because the demons have been judged and they are said to be going to be consigned to the lake of fire. If the lake of fire means consuming, annihilating DEATH, then of course they can die!

Our Lord said that He would build a Church upon Peter and against which the gates of hell shall not prevail, and that means that this Church is still around today almost two thousand years later, and she is, and she is marvelous.

Oh how I love the Church!

How about the ACTUAL Church that Jesus is with? He wouldn't be aligned with a church that has been blood-stained to such a degree that her sins have piled up to heaven. Heaven has said:

"Fallen, fallen is Babylon the Great [the world empire of false religion]! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit....For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality." (Rev.18:2,3)

Obviously Babylon the Great is not a nation or any political entity, because she commits immorality with the kings of the earth. What religion has had prestige with the nations and has been very influencial in the world's affairs? You've got false Christianity and Islam. They have been the most influencial. False Christianity in particular.

Revelation 18 goes on to say: "I heard another voice from heaven, saying, 'Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues! For her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.'" (verses 4 & 5, NASB)

Your Bible (And all others) says Satan will be tormented for ever and ever ...yet you say he will die... "complete obliteration". Your religion differs from God's Word on many points.

Your answer doesn't show any resolving of any problem. Hasn't the Church taught against homosexuality forever? Then if homosexuality is wrong, why would they ordain them? The RCC doesn't come out clean any way you try to look at it.

What matters is not the church being judged for the evil people in it. What matters is that Jesus is the church, and your denomination is not.

Jesus would not be involved in any of the nefarious deeds of the RCC! He even said that "by their deeds you will know" the wolves in sheeps clothing. We have to look at the deeds of a religious institution. If they're heinous, then I don't think Jesus is involved.
