Yes, exactly. And Trump elicited enthusiasm from his supporters. So his part made sense. Biden elicited complete boredom from his supporters.Seriously? You're basing Biden's legitimacy on his historical vote count?!
2020 was a historical turnout, the highest in 120 years, and Trump got the second most votes than any other candidate in history.
Every time Republicans have had boring candidates in the last 50+ years, they've lost. The exceptions: Bush Sr (1st time), who was riding on the enthusiasm left over from Reagan, and Bush Jr. (1st time) who was at least a little bit exciting (more than his dad), and up against the more boring Al Gore.
Gerald Ford--Loss
Bush Sr. (2nd time)--Loss
Bob Dole--Loss
John McCain--Loss
Mitt Romney--Loss
Dems are the same.
Jimmy Carter (2nd Time)--loss
Walter Mondale--Loss
Michael Dukakis--Loss
Al Gore--Loss
John Kerry--Loss
Hillary Clinton--Loss
(Jimmy Carter's first term is probably also an exception, but he was up against the more boring Gerald Ford, and riding the negative publicity of Watergate).
I wasn't a fan of either Bill Clinton or Obama, but they generated excitement on the Dem's side, compared to the Republican opponents.
