10. Who is your hero and why? Captain Dale "Snort" Snodgrass. Highest time F14 Pilot, with 4900 hours in the Tomcat. 7800 hours in Fighters including 1287 Carrier Arrested Landings. Tomcat Flight Demonstration Pilot 1985-1997.

He was awarded many medals for his honorable service to our county in the Navy.

"Zero Dark Thirty" I do not think I fully understood it. The film is a bit long-winded, and I feel to sleep during part of it.

2. What was the last thing you bought at the store?
A Wall-Mart knock brand of Glade air fashioner.

Maybe 'Silent Night"

4. Do you have a holiday family tradition?
The family gets together every Christmas. We have a big dinner, and attend church. The kids have their toys on Christmas day. I have always tried to make Christmas is holy day, yet my grand-daughter thinks it is a holiday.
Remember, I once said culture is three generations deep?

5. What is your favorite vegetable?
All the green leafy vegetables. As well, the small green peas, and I like Okra, not fried. I love tomatoes too

6. What was the last sale item you bought?
The Blu-ray of the movie I saw. There is another, "The Help" and I have to say it really was that way once!

I may have been chasing it with a hatchet.

Probably a news show. There was a time I liked Steve Allen and Carson. There was a time I liked some of the early sit-cons.

Oh, well, here goes. I liked the clothes style of the 1950s. Some of the 80s fashions were nice too.

10. Who is your hero and why? (Somebody besides Jesus.)
My husband because he impacted my life is a very good way.

My husband. He gets up for work to support our family five days a week (sometimes six) and never complains about having to do so.

We each bring an inexpensive gift, put them all under tree, and we play a fun game where we draw numbers, and then each pick one from under the tree, open it, and then can keep it, or forcibly trade it for one someone else has already opened. It's a riot, with my family.

Broccoli.

The original "Connections" series back in the early 80s was pretty spectacular.

I think we should all dress comfortably. Good looking people look good in anything, and the rest of us just are what we are, regardless. So lets stop wasting money chasing fashion.

10. Who is your hero and why? (Somebody besides Jesus.)

Anyone who chooses love and peace over selfishness and vengeance is a hero, to me. I have known quite a few folks in my life that I have seen do this, when it was difficult for them to do. And they are all heroes in my book!

1. The Martian- As a mechanical engineer in the aerosapce industry I LOVED the film of course. The engineering in the film was pretty accurate also. Matt Damon did a great job as an astronaut marooned on Mars.

10. I really don't have a "hero". I don't believe in hero worship. But there are a few historical figures I do admire. Probably the one I admire most is Jackie Robinson. He fought against racial biogtry from all sides, not just white racists. He had a famous public feud with Malcolm X, telling him that his black separatist views were wrong. Everyone knows about Robinson's baseball career but he accomplished quite a bit after he retired from baseball as well. He became a corporate executive, opened a bank in Harlem to give black people fair loans, and he would sent chastizing telegrams and letters to Presidents when Robinson felt they weren't doing enough about the racial problems in America. He certainly wasn't perfect but he had courage and strength which stemmed from his Christian beliefs.

Probably my dad. Called me an hour ago to say we probably shouldn't come down to see them for Christmas because he just had a chunk of skin cancer cut off his nose. He's missing one nostril and looks like Lon Chaney Sr. "I wasn't getting any prettier anyway," he said.
