[Extramarital Dating Site Unsettles the Land of Discreet by DAN BILEFSKY MARCH 9, 2015 PARIS] "In a country recently transfixed by the trial of a famous politician that revealed details of his orgy escapades, and where the president was found to be cheating on his live-in partner, an ad promoting extramarital affairs might not seem like such a big deal.

But even in famously libertine France, the latest advertising campaign — evoking the temptations of Eve with a partly eaten apple — for a dating website geared to married women looking for affairs has spawned a backlash and a national debate.

The ads for the dating website Gleeden, which bills itself as “the premier site for extramarital affairs designed by women,” were recently splashed on the backs of buses in several French cities. Seven cities decided to withdraw the ads, and opponents have mobilized against them on social media, providing the latest example of a prominent cultural divide in France about the lines between public morality, private sexual conduct and the country’s vaunted freedom of expression..." Oh look, more consenting adults doing things a social conservative finds icky because he/she/it can't handle not being able to legislate what they do in private.

I know it's probably asking too much of you, but try minding your own business and see how much happier your life becomes.

We didn't write the Rule Book (Commandment #7...Exodus 20:14, etc.)

I know it's probably asking too much of you, but try minding your own business and see how much happier your life becomes.

We conservatives are happy when we help lost souls find the way to righteousness through God. Heck, I bet we could even help you Buzz.

That isn't this country's or my rule book.

Heck, churches can't even agree on what rules to follow in that book.

My atheist conservative uncle would disagree with this.

I know what rule book you go by: the book of shag. Regarding this country's foundation (laws, culture) : Biblical...until we became tolerant of people like you.

It's a sad day in the Christian church when they can't even get the simple basics right (don't cheat on your spouse, God says that it's wrong).

That sentence makes as much sense as the term "vegan meat-eater".

If that is what you call karma.

It was biblical and christian culture to own black slaves?

That sentence makes as much sense as the term "vegan meat-eater".

Well then all those conservative atheists need to quit voting for your guy then, right?

Here's the bottom line shag:

If you have no problem with others committing adultery, then you should encourage your wife to have an open adulterous relationship.

Get back to us on how that goes.

Shag has not stated whether he thinks cheating is right or wrong. All he said is that what goes on in someone else's marriage is not your concern.

hmmm what people do in private and what is advertised on the side of buses are two different things.

Also though i'm on the left I find it hard to see how a christian can be so supportive of an attack or marriage which as well as being an important social institution, is a often used metaphor of the relationship between Jesus and his people.

Adultery destroys marriages, which destroys people, specifically children, the effects of adultery don't end up at the door of the bedroom.

all the buzz on public radio lately is about how the college sudents of today are struggling with a "rape culture"

imagine that - kids growing up with unlimited access to internet porn of the foulest imaginable kinds, in a culture that recognizes nothing as perverse or wrong, thinking that women should be used to satisfy their urges

thanks a lot libtards! :thumb:

What I have a problem with is people sticking their nose in other people's business.

I don't have a problem with you eating dog poop if you want to, but I'm not going to do it.

I'm not a megalomaniac like you. I don't think everyone has to be exactly like me.

Rape has nothing to do with sex. It's about power.

Shag has not stated whether he thinks cheating is right or wrong...

He's on the Left. What do you think? Eccl 10:2, Jn 10:10, Ro 1:25

These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver [Ps. 50:21–22].

"My friend, God is not speaking only to Israel, He is speaking to us in our day also. He unmasks hypocrisy. Because God is silent does not mean that He approves. There is a day of reckoning coming. God says, “I will reprove thee, and set them [your sins] in order before thine eyes.”" McGee, J. V. (1991). Thru the Bible commentary: Poetry (Psalms 42-89) (electronic ed., Vol. 18, p. 53). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.

Too bad so many choose the latter. Ex 23:2, Jn 3:19, Mt 7:13-14
