Incorrect.That is a shame.
People with better educations do not serve the Body of Christ better.
So you'll try and sit in another's seat? You need someone to teach you what this passage is about. It isn't at all saying what you'd like to make it say. It is actually telling you to not usurp another man's seat. It is about love and not self-interest and self-indulgence. It is about putting others before ourselves and our perceived needs. It doesn't support you here. You are playing favorites.
James 2
My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. 2 Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. 3 If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” 4 have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
5 Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? 7 Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?
1 Timothy 5:17-20 Do a bit of study in 1&2 Timothy (very short books, read them this week please). It might help you to learn to give honor to those who are found worthy. We stand equal in grace but we have different gifts that result in different attention. You have to study to learn and teachers have the gift of leading others rightly.
Hebrews 13:17 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
I don't care what you 'think' you know, prove it. Stop giving me proof texts and read your bible. In fact, if you have not read your bible all the way through a number of times, you shouldn't be teaching at all. Teachers are teacher and have that gift because they are hard studiers! What you say is not true.
Proverbs 10:14 Memorize itThe teacher’s education makes no difference concerning God’s Truth.
Galatians 6:6 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:14-16 Deuteronomy 11:19
And Peter never called Paul's education into question. You said Paul; a more educated man corrected Peter a former fisherman. I said Peter was afraid and that is why he acted out of line with the truth. Peter knew the truth just as well as Paul did.
Oxymoron. ▲That ▲ cannot possibly be true. The teacher does NOT have to have an education to know God’s Truth.
Learning is education. Education is learning.
Proverbs 4:7 Again 2 Timothy 2:15Going to college means NOTHING to God.
:nono: They allowed me to ask questions, and many of them. Sorry to disappoint but you are wrong. Having never gone, you wouldn't know any way. Quit making stuff up just because you want to or heard somebody else do so. It is a sin.You just believe what some man with a college education taught you.
True ▲ Look at all of those verses! You chose your leader because you are impressed with schooling.
You have spoken foolishly. Isn't rather true that you are rebellious and do not like them, instead? Read those verses! How does God feel about elders and education? Read the verses, don't debate me just because you don't like it.God does not care about anyone’s schooling.
The gospel was hid from 'some' so-called wise and learned men.In fact, God hid the truth from the wise and learned.
Since wisdom is from God, do you believe wise men, by definition would not turn to God? Many did, we already went over this. Do no take verses out of context to fit your wants and desires. That is making God fit you, rather than you being changed and fitted for God. You have a LOT to learn. It is no shame until you would refuse or disdain your elders. Such is reprehensible, not praiseworthy. The scriptures I gave you tell you to count those men and women worthy of double honors because they worked hard and studied to become so.
