In a month where most of the horses are still standing just outside the starting gate, a wide field leaves it open to anyone who can muster sufficient outrage to spur their nag. Right D is out in front (4) with AMR on his heels (3) and a field of 14 nags looking on from two to three lengths removed.

I was too busy to call this month but in retrospect it wasn't a half bad field.

Musterion was quick out of the gate and in solid control through the first stretch and the turn. But glory came on to challenge and even take the lead in the back stretch. A new nag, Watcher, made the race interesting and AMJ and PJ kept the pack at pace, but coming down to the wire it looks like Must (15) is holding his single length lead over glory (14) with Watcher holding third a solid seven lengths removed (7) and AMR (6) still in position to challenge, PJ (5) hard on his heels.

Honestly, it's like watching the Grand National in freeze frame...

And at the wire it was musterion (16) edging out glory (14) by a thin two lengths, with Watcher taking third well outside (7) but holding AMR (6) just out of the money as a game field hobbles in behind them.

November belongs to musterion! :first: All hail, and whatnot.

In the meantime and finishing up the year that was...

Race Report :singer:

In a short field of slow moving nags, December heated up in the homestretch, as Tam came out of the pack to take the lead and the race at the wire, passing glory and must, who were tied neck and neck one length back. Lon edged out a game Ktoyou to take third and place TOL's elder statesmen just out of the money.

Congrats Tam! :first: You take December's cake.

And now for the yearly Derby Champ:

Taking the trophy with a 4 to 1 edge over the competition, Musterion closes the year as the Cub Reporter Nag Extraordinaire!

Congrats Musterion! :first:
