Pinkel's recruiting is not as good right now as it was. Funny how the QB's don't look as good with players like Jeremy Maclin and Dorial Green-Beckham not running down the sidelines. They will be back. They need to get some good offensive talent to not go to Ohio State.

Keeping Terry Beckner Jr at home on defense was a great pick up considering Alabama and Ohio State came at him hard. They need more of it to happen.

I forgot to mention that Duke, North Carolina, and Pitt are quietly now 5-1, 4-1, and 4-1. Somebody will give Florida State a decent game in the ACC title game. Dalvin Cook is really good. I wonder if his football career is shortened with his alleged issues. When Ray Lewis is still on TV and Aaron Hernandez is not, it is hard to tell.

Pitt's only loss was at 6-0 Iowa.

Iowa's Marshall Koehn kicked a 57 yard field goal at the buzzer to give Iowa the win over Pitt.

There are a lot of NFL teams that would do anything for a kicker that could make a 57 yard field goal (most notably, my Steelers)

USC which has a top 5 roster, but not the depth of Alabama and Ohio State, fired head coach Steve Sarkasian. I think it was because they are 3-2. They claim it is because he is a drunk. I am not sure if I believe that is the reason.

Steve Spurrier took his ball and went home for good. I am disappointed. For the casual fans, he is the one who calls Florida State (FSU) Free Shoes University, and said You can't spell Citrus without U T. Among many other bombs he drops on the college football world.

I might watch Amateur Hour tonight, aka Auburn-Kentucky. Big boy games are late in Stanford and UCLA.

The Big House hasn't had an ending to a game like today since Kordell Stewart hit Michael Westbrook with a 64 yard Hail Mary in 1994.

To me there is more to the story. I was in Colorado for 9 years. CU fans say that went down as designed, the tip play. The ball bounced off Ty Law's head. In another Ty Law story, I thought he was the real Super Bowl MVP against the Rams, not Brady.

Ty Law was good.

Did you know that Ty Law and Darrelle Revis went to the same high school?

It's a little high school with a graduating class of about 80 students here in Pittsburgh called Aliquippa (Mike Ditka also went there)

Law graduated in 1992 and Revis graduated in 2003.

so what, my great grandma came from PA in a wagon around 1900 and she was a strong safety
