Can a Christian lose their salvation

You seem to post answers to my posts, but address them to someone else. Paul said he was the "chief" of those who Christ died to save.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

He was still the worst of those Christ came to save. Others may have taken that dubious honor since then.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

It is written..."When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life." (Acts 11:18) Yes. Having faith is a choice.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Do you think the Corinthian adulterer was ever a believer? Do you think the other Corinthians thought he was a converted man ? Had he really been a believer, converted to Christianity, turned from sin, reborn of Gods seed, and had the gift of the Holy Ghost, he never would have committed adultery.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Everyone will know where they stand on judgement day. It is written..."For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God." (Rom 14:11) Men will acts like Christians until/unless they stop acting like Christians. Nothing will be...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Yep, Paul was the worst, due to his persecution of the church. Did he continue to persecute the church after his conversion ? No. But that didn't nullify his past reputation. He wasn't a Christians when he was persecuting the church.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

I'm glad you asked ! First, is the gift of repentance from sin. With that gift we can turn permanently from sin. (Acts 3:26) Second, is the destruction of the old man. (Rom 6:6 Gal 5:24) With that gift we no longer need walk in the flesh. Third, is our rebirth and being raised with Christ to...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

The only citing that came close to saying faith is a gift is the Eph. 2:8-9 one. And the Eph. 2 "gift" is His grace, not faith. I was...before I repented of sin. (Acts 3:26, 26:18,20) I was...before the old me was destroyed and a new me was raised with Christ to walk in newness of life. (Rom...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Why should it be necessary to validate the truth that what God provides will do what it was provided for ? Do you think you can bear any fruit to God without using what He provided for you to bear fruit ? That would be, repentance from sin, the washing of past sins by the blood of Christ, the...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

You cited a scripture saying all men sinned and I cited the fact that Jesus didn't sin. So your basis is not really true. Why can't the book of Revelations be used when speaking of the church or its doctrine ? I agree, so the only ones who will, or can, lose their salvation are the...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

No sinner has faith. Jesus committed sin ? The verses sited by Paul in Rom 3 were applicable before Jesus, but not after He made it possible to be reborn from Father's seed. He will also erase some of those names. It is written..."He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Yes. I must use what God has provided in order to bear any "fruit" to His glory, and to be found worthy of eternal life on the day of judgement. God doesn't keep me from lying and stealing and committing adultery, but He makes it possible to do it myself. Who will be judged on the last day for...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Do you have any verses stating that faith is a gift ? Do you have any verses stating that the "gift of faith" was withheld from some or anybody ? I am glad I couldn't be so evil that the gift of grace was withheld from me. I am glad that His gifts also allow me to now live without sinning.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

I know that He provides all I need not to sin, but will I take, and use, what He provided for the rest of my life ? That is what the day of judgement will reveal. There is a lot of "must" involved. If I forsake God and His Son, like Ananias, Sapphira, the Corinthian adulterer, and a bunch of...

Can a Christian lose their salvation

I gotta have faith. I know God has provided all I require to make it through this life without mark, but still, I must do it.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

If ones rebirth is real, it will be manifested unto death. If not real, than sin lies ahead.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Those are the only two courses of action. It would seem so. It is apparent that I can't get through to you that rebirth must be manifested for it to be real.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

I am certainly capable of sinning. But because of my new mind, and divine nature, and the gift of the Holy Ghost, and other things, I won't. Considering oneself as reborn is no guarantee that one is actually reborn. The deeds done by the man manifest from which seed he is born of.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

Their "fall" is only in appearance. They were sinners before their supposed conversions, and their next sin proves they were not reborn of God's seed. It appeared like they fell away, but they really had nothing to fall away from.

Can a Christian lose their salvation

So what ? Sinners can't masquerade as righteous men for too long of a time. God roots out the posers.
