WORSHIP IN THE FLESH
Col 2:18-19
18 Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.
Col 2:23
23 These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.
Rom 8:8
8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
ACT 17:24-25
24 "God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.
25 "Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.
Mark 7:8
8 "For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men-- the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do."
Mark 7:15
15 "There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man.
Heb 9:8-9
8 the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing.
9 It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience--
Mark 7:20-23
20 And He said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man.
21 "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 "thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
23 "All these evil things come from within and defile a man."
Heb 7:5
5 And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brethren, though they have come from the loins of Abraham;
Rom 7:8
8 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead.
Heb 8:7
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.
John 4:21
21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
John 4:23
23 "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
1 Pet 2:8
8 and "A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense." They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.
Mark 8:18-21
18 "Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?
19 "When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?" They said to Him, "Twelve."
20 "And when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of fragments did you take up?" And they said, "Seven."
21 So He said to them, "How is it you do not understand?"
Matt 16:12
12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Matt 23:1-2
1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples,
2 saying: "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.
1 Cor 3:17
17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
Mark 7:15
15 "There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man.
Mark 7:20
20 And He said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man.
Heb 8:13

Matt 22:16
16 And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men.
Rom 9:8
8 That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.
John 12:43
43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
James 3:10-11
10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?
James 3:13-15
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.
15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.
Jude 1:19
19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
Rom 1:25
25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
(NKJ)
xxxThe problem with worshiping in the flesh is worshiping according to your feelings and human wisdom. Those who use human wisdom and human logic miss the Spirit. The Spirit is only going to quote verses, so worshiping in the Spirit is walking according to the verses in your mind not according to human wisdom. The old testament people worshiped in the flesh. The new testament people are suppose to worship in the Spirit.

Rom 12:1-3

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
(NKJ)

xxx Those who worship in the flesh justify their emotions, those who worship in the Spirit condemn their emotions.

Only People Who Worship In The Flesh Believe Jesus Is God
On Ro 9
Paul is talking about having great sorrow and grief over those who worship in the flesh.According to the flesh he could even wish he were cut off from Christ. Because those who worship in the flesh believe that Christ came and that Christ is the eternally blessed God.But as Paul says they are not all Israel who are from Israel nor are they children of Abraham seed. Those who worship in the flesh and believe this are not children of God.
Rom 9:1-8
1 I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit,
2 that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart.
3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh,
4 who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises;
5 of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.
6 But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel,
7 nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, "In Isaac your seed shall be called."
8 That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.
(NKJ)

Gal 6:7-8
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
(NKJ)

xxx Those who worship in the flesh and carnally minded only see the sins that happen outside the body. worshiping in the Spirit they must look at the sins that happen inside the body. inside their own body. Then they realize that the sins outside the body are only evidence of the sin that dwells within them.

If your not receiving verses from the Holy Spirit you are in the flesh.

Isn't this covered by John 14:26?

John 14:26 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

Doesn't He bring things to our remembrance through and by teaching us through the Scriptures?

I want to put us another choice??? Okay. You seem to have a firm grip on your opinion, but you have no ability to express yourself using your mother-tongue and even less understanding of The Holy Scriptures which you completely mis-construe.

If your not receiving verses from the Holy Spirit you are in the flesh.

Who receives the Holy Spirit?

Peter makes clear “We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given [qyellow]to those who obey him[/yellow]." Acts 15:32

As they obeyed Him first...waiting in jerusalem and gathered for Pentecost...then received the Spirit

Peter insists “Yah made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith." Acts 15:9

No distinction was made because they were OBEDIENT TO THE SAME LAW...ONE LAW for native and goyim alike...

There was not one group gathered to celebrate Sabbath and another group YOURS resting everyday anyday...

as Cornelius received for being devout...he AND his family...and Peter clarifies “35but in every nation he that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him” Acts 10:35 acceptable for what? THE RECEIVING...

Peter concludes:

Acts 10:44 While Peter was yet speaking these words the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were hearing the word. 45And the faithful of the circumcision were astonished, as many as came with Peter, that upon the nations also the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out: 46for they heard them speaking with tongues and magnifying God. Then Peter answered, 47Can any one forbid water that these should not be baptised, who have received the Holy Spirit as we also [did]? 48And he commanded them to be baptised in the name of the Lord. Then they begged him to stay some days.”

They received because they OBEYED...

Do you obey Squeaky?...do you set aside a day...the seventh day...a day that He set aside hallowed made holy and sanctified...do you KEEP IT HOLY? As He did and asked us to...to follow Him...love each other as He loved us...do His Father’s will...

Do you keep the seventh day Holy as He demonstrated with His life...His last will and testament life the new covenant...signed with His blood and sealed NO CHANGES ALLOWED...with His death...

A death that came JUST IN TIME FOR A DAY OF REST...A SABBATH...the first full day in the new covenant age...

Do you REMEMBER Squeaky? Do you keep it HOLY? Do you pray it is kept in future times of trouble...?

They obeyed crowding synagogues every Sabbath to hear Moses preached and read in every city...

They obeyed and received...a Spirit that would lead them to further truth to sanctification to righteousness to good works...what Comfort that in the new life hardship and persecution they still had rest...a sabbatismos...

Sarx is not muscle, but just skin and fat. What does worship in the sarx mean?

You'll need to read what the Apostle Paul has to say.

Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Ah, so you're thinking you can enter the kingdom on earth....now I get it. This is why you're so fixated on things of the flesh...trying to perfect the flesh through your own efforts.

Too bad...because those of us who have been baptized by the Spirit into the Body of Christ merely believed unto righteousness. That is what's so different about the Gospel of GRACE.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

You poor worker bees. You won't get what you think you'll get.

Put the stones down silly girl...no stoning tonight...the log in your eye really hinders your sight...

You remind me of

https://youtu.be/ffwFXGPRDu4

So thanks for that...LOL

So where were we...what is this histrionic fuss all about?

Oh yes...

Nothing I said was about entering the kingdom or perfecting the flesh...but to receive the Spirit...

Let’s look at that text you hurriedly dug up...

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls oon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

So what is the condition one will be saved? It is OBEYING what is in yellow.

Now why is there NOW at this point NO DISTINCTION between jew and goyim? Because IN HIM they are one...there is not two groups one who obeys and another raptured from it...from obeying...

Nothing I posted perfects the flesh by one’s own efforts...we WANT to work good works HIS WORKS because we have been SAVED and now wish to obey out of our gratitude for having been saved...and in our obedience we DEMONSTRATE OUR DESIRE TO SERVE...so the Spirit is given to all who work righteousness...His righteousness...

and it is given because we obeyed as we believed and confessed ONE WHO SAVED US...thus the Spirit works IN US to be MORE LIKE HIM...

Were you able to follow that?

The grace is given and NOW we WANT to do the works having been saved...

And the Spirit to those believing they are saved and thus want to obey...

They stayed in Jerusalem BECAUSE He told them to...to wait...they did so and assembled together for Pentecost...and received the Spirit...so obeying the Son they also KEPT HIS FATHER’S FEASTS...

Double scoop of obedience there that is...the Spirit descended as it does to any who work righteousness...His works of righteousness...NOT THEIR OWN...

Worker bees not to get honey but because they worker bees...

His workers do His works not to get the Spirit but because they are His workers doing His works...

I am to judge all things. You, on the other hand, have to worry about logs.

Oh, the old, "I didn't say that." :chuckle:

Let’s look at that text you hurriedly dug up...

I didn't dig anything up....I stand on that truth.

So, now you claim the obedience of faith is the obedience you were referring to before? I don't believe you.

Now why is there NOW at this point NO DISTINCTION between jew and goyim? Because IN HIM they are one...there is not two groups one who obeys and another raptured from it...

The obedience of faith is believing. The rapture has nothing to do with this topic. I think your hatred for the rapture is nothing but FEAR on your part.

Nothing I posted perfects flesh on own efforts...we WANT to work good works HIS WORKS...having received the Spirit and because we obeyed as we believed and confessed ONE WHO SAVED US...

Were you able to follow that?

Of course I was able to follow that. You claim credit for wanting to do good works.

Boasting is excluded by the law of faith....and still you boast.

weak...using another’s material falsely is typical for you yours though...

Oh, the old, "I didn't say that." :chuckle:
yay emoji!! Maybe I need pictures you can color to understand that we do works because we are saved not to earn salvation...and I was indeed speaking of receiving the Spirit for obedience not receiving salvation or entrance into the kingdom...but because He gave me the entrance ticket I wish to put on my robe that comes with it...and to keep it clean until...

I didn't dig anything up....I stand on that truth.
bravo you are saved...you may get off the cross...and keep being a theif? Or are you changed? desiring to do good works live as He did be more like Him less like you were when you were about to die on that cross?

Or is one time LORD LORD! Enough? And not the do His will part...raptured from that are you? Free to get off the cross and keep theiving on? Stealing worship and good works from Him...typical

So, now you claim the obedience of faith is the obedience you were referring to before? I don't believe you.
the obedience of a changed heart towards righteousness...yup because you are saved...now go do your good works give glory to Him for what He did for you IN YOU...

The obedience of faith is believing. The rapture has nothing to do with this topic. I think your hatred for the rapture is nothing but FEAR on your part.
LOL...projecting still eh? You rapture yourself from the good works a faith compels you to do...if you love Him...

But NO you rapture yourself from the ONE LAW for native and goyim alike...dividing the House...you even rapture yourself from chores to keep others from stumbling and dirtying their own white robes...

Of course I was able to follow that. You claim credit for wanting to do good works.

Boasting is excluded by the law of faith....and still you boast.

Faith compels works...without which you are dead...neither jew nor goyim in a SINGLE HOUSE not divided...

You follow another gospel another christ...one that replaces the wall to divide jew and goyim

Yah makes NO DISTINCTION as there IS NONE...we jew and gentile both have faith and obey doing good works according to ONE LAW...just like it was when the church was in the wilderness...

Yours is another wanting rapture from His will...

And if anyone just keep one thing in the old testament that Jesus hasnt brought over to the new testmment. They will fall from grace. You have fallen from grace.

[Gal 5:1-4
[1] Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
[2] Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.

You are posting like pagans pray...starting threads on the same topic as pagans pray...

Never said works saved a man...OT Law was for those already saved...

You do understand they left egypt and were saved BEFORE they were given the Law...

Just like Adam was created before given the Sabbath

Faith without works...is faith first...then works...
