Why Would God Bless America Today?

I'm glad to live in the United States. It's a pretty comfortable place in which to reside. But most people allow their patriotism and partisanship to blind them. America pretty much leads the world in violence, war, pornography, drugs, abortion, homosexuality, adultery, divorce, and everything filthy. Not only does America lead in all of the wickedness, but our culture and government accepts and even actively promotes it. American academia, government and pop culture sneers at God and mocks the Bible. So why would God bless America? I Nearly every church I ever went to always said "God bless America!" and boasted that America is a "Christian nation." But facts are facts. I'd like to know why, using Biblical evidence, God would bless America. Many people say it. So why?

For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Because most Americans follow Christ and the Bible

I'm not using any Biblical evidence but as a Canadian atheist I'd submit that America has been blessed, insomuch it has been fortunate to have had enlightened deist founders who created a liberal freedom loving nation that is always willing to step up when needed for the benefit of others. Blessed with resources. Blessed with intelligent brave citizens.
There have been some hiccups. In our recent history we're all familiar with GWB's crazy unjustified Iraq adventure. Because Saddam tried to kill his daddy or something. Going farther back, we can all agree America needed some comeuppance in 1812-14 when they bit off more than they could chew. Didn't try that again....

Why would "God" bless America? Because America overall is a shining light to the world...not perfect no doubt, but the greatest country on Earth (besides Canada). The most important thing going forward is to not vote in the RePharisee party. This would not please "the Lord."

And here's another example of America's greatness....your President is the only guy willing to take on the insane gun lobby and try to reduce the number of daily American mass murders....Praise God for His gift of Barack Obama

The LORD God is not blessing, or cursing, any nation, in this dispensation. That will commence, only when He takes up His dealings with the nation of Israel, again, and those that oppose her, per the prophetic program.

Pretty cocky for a guy who doesn't present any evidence to support his POV.

Thoughts on Psalm
33 Ja Ja Johnny?

1Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;

it is fitting for the upright to praise him.

2Praise the Lord with the harp;

make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.

3Sing to him a new song;

play skillfully, and shout for joy.

4For the word of the Lord is right and true;

he is faithful in all he does.

5The Lord loves righteousness and justice;

the earth is full of his unfailing love.

6By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,

their starry host by the breath of his mouth.

7He gathers the waters of the sea into jarsa ;

he puts the deep into storehouses.

8Let all the earth fear the Lord;

let all the people of the world revere him.

9For he spoke, and it came to be;

he commanded, and it stood firm.

10The Lord foils the plans of the nations;

he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.

11But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,

the purposes of his heart through all generations.

12Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,

the people he chose for his inheritance.

13From heaven the Lord looks down

and sees all mankind;

14from his dwelling place he watches

all who live on earth

15he who forms the hearts of all,

who considers everything they do.

16No king is saved by the size of his army;

no warrior escapes by his great strength.

17A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;

despite all its great strength it cannot save.

18But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,

on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

19to deliver them from death

and keep them alive in famine.

20We wait in hope for the Lord;

he is our help and our shield.

21In him our hearts rejoice,

for we trust in his holy name.

22May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,

even as we put our hope in you.

As an atheist, your "license" was never validated.

Don't need your validation my friend......I dare you to try and stop me from exercising free speech. Try not to be a fascist.

Is the US comfortable or violent?

Syrians might disagree with you about the US leading in violence.

Nations rise and fall, but Christ's Kingdom is not of this world. The nations that allow freedom of religion, speech and thought will prosper the most because they allow humans to be creative and build. This has been the reason for failure in theocratic and communist countries. Humans need to breath and be themselves. That is the gift of God and that where the blessing is.

Romans-Philemon....All of my brilliant posts over the years...Survey "...blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in."

Now, have a seat.
