Danica Roem beat the Republican incumbent Del. Robert Marshall in the race for the Virginia House of Delegates and is set to become the first openly transgender state legislator in the US.
Marshall, Virginia's self-described "chief homophobe," refused to debate Roem and referred to her with male pronouns.

It's really too bad that the Republicrat incumbent (Robert Marshall is a Donald Trump supporter) didn't debate Roem and use the truth in a loving compassionate way.
For instance, Marshall could have talked about the extraordinarily high suicide rate amongst both transgender adults and youth.
He could have talked about the high rate of substance abuse amongst the LGBTQ population.
He could have talked about how the left wing American Psychological Association still considers transgenderism a mental illness.
Regarding the bathroom bill: He could have used statistics and stories to show how unsafe it is for woman and children to be in the same restroom as transgender or transgender identifying people.
Most of all, Marshall could have said that Jesus has a better way for him, and if re-elected, he would personally find a way to help Roem out of his living hell.

My observation holds, that 'gender' is something more than 'biological' or associated ONLY with a particular biological FORM. Now if you want to argue what is a 'man' or 'woman' as conventionally defined and assumed, thats a matter of definition. I point you to a wider context of gender studies

According to this report, Ms. Corfman has made a cottage industry out of making false and slanderous accusations of sexual impropriety against Christian leaders. According to a neighbor, "she...went to various churches within our denomination and accused at least three other pastors besides an uncle of ours [of] making sexual advances at her. Each time that she brought it to a District board for Alabama they found her to be uncredible [sic] and she changed her story many times."
In addition, Leigh Corfman may not have been 14 at the time, as the Washington Post claimed, but several years older. Marion Talley, who lives in Etowah County and believes her brother actually dated Leigh Corfman in 1976, says this would have made Ms. Corfman at least 17 years old in 1979. We can be quite certain the age question will be resolved in short order, an item that is only relevant, of course, if anything actually happened.
She even tried to file legal charges in one instance in 2007 or so but got laughed out of court. "Additionally, she tried to sue a pastor in one of the sections within our denomination and the Circuit Judge would not hear the case."
