non free will conditions. conditions revealed by God means He thought of it first, not second like men wants

C'mon T-Bottom. Your grammar is literate on CF. Why play silly games? Hardly a good advert for your dogma after all.

'like men want' - you saying these are free 'wants' (free will) or are you going with predestinated 'wants'?

Your logic is hopeless contradiction... but then you are a calvy I suppose.

Jesus loves predestined children
Only children he has called
Others sure as heck mean well
But he's condemned their *** to hell
Jesus loves some chosen children (but not all)

Jesus loves some little children
But only if you've heard God's word
A couple colors but mostly white
Cause we're the ones with Gospel light
God can't choose you if you haven't heard!

I am an E!
I am an E-L!
I am an E-L-E-C-T oh yes I am!
And I've been E-L-E-C-T-E-D to G-L-O-R-Y
And everybody else is friggin' damned!

esus loves me! This I know,
Election predestines it so;
Elect ones to Him belong;
We He seek, the rest be gone.
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Election predestines it so.

TULIPBEE, please may I implore you to give up man made shite and return to Jesus Christ

“Jesus loves the little children…
All the children of the world…
Red and yellow, black and white…
They are precious in His sight…
Jesus loves the little children of the world”

Herman: Well, that song was quite obviously written by an Arminian

Tulipbee: Why do you say that?

Herman: Well, the song says that Jesus loves “all” the little children of the “world”. That is what Arminians believe, that Christ died for all and loves the world in such a way that He truly desires all to believe in Christ and be saved.

Tulipbee: Oh, well you have just misunderstood the context of the song.

Herman: What do you mean?

Tulipbee: Well, the context plainly demonstrates that “all” doesn’t mean “every child without exception.”

Herman: It doesn’t?

Tulipbee: Of course not. Look at that one line that says, “Red and yellow, black and white”.

Herman: O.K.

Tulipbee: Well, it seems obvious to me that when he says “all the children of the world” he only means all the different colors of children in the world. You see, he is really concerned about racism and guarding against the false teaching that Jesus might only love red children and not any black children, etc.

Herman: Is that right? I never realized that?

Tulipbee: Well, most people don’t, but that is just because they pay no attention to context. That is why God gave us Reformed theologians to explain these things to us. I could give you a good book by a Calvinist where he spends about twenty pages explaining why “all the children of the world” really means “only a relatively few children from among all the various races of the world”.

Herman: Wow, it is amazing to me that I never realized that before. I think I would like to read that book. Thank God he didn’t leave us on our own to interpret songs like this one or we might come to some really bizarre conclusions. I don’t know what we would ever do without those Reformed theologians you mentioned. I think from now on I will just read from them so I don’t misunderstand something else as I am obviously easily confused.

Tulipbee: Absolutely. Just make sure you don’t put their writings above what the songs actually say while understanding that it is impossible to rightly understand what the songs actually say and mean without reading from them.

Herman: Uh, sure. That makes sense. I think. Are you suggesting that they might be wrong about this song after all?

Tulipbee: Of course not. They are right because that is what the verse plainly means when considered in context and you can be sure that the song plainly means that because the Reformed theologians say so. Got it?

Herman: Yeah, I got it. Well, I’m off to buy some of those books you recommended. Thanks for all your help. Imagine, if I had never talked to you I would have just gone right on foolishly believing that the song was saying that Jesus actually loved “all” the children of the “world”.

Tulipbee No problem. That’s what I’m here for.

Serious point. This thread is "Who is saved"

Well, where do we find this out ? Calvinist dogma, or what the Bible ACTUALLY says?

Believe Christ. Not Calvin, not calvinists ( most of whom do not understand calvinism anyway)

You need to believe all that Jesus said, including the things that He said through Paul AFTER His ascension.

Eph 2:4-10 (AKJV/PCE)
(2:4) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, (2:5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (2:6) And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus: (2:7) That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (2:8) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: (2:9) Not of works, lest any man should boast. (2:10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

  • SAVED is PAST TENSE.
  • HATH QUICKENED is PAST TENSE.
  • HATH RAISED is PAST TENSE.
We can say that we are saved because the Bible says that.
