What is the Gospel?

You're wrong, of course. Unless you don't have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you, then, yes, you need some list of rules and regulations. The law was made for sinners...for the ungodly. If you need a Church to tell you that pornography is wrong, then you are still under the law, but no organized religion can ever take the place of Scripture.
1 Timothy 1:9
Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
Do I seem like I'm under the law to you?

Participating in the production, distribution, promotion, and consumption of pornography does not require lust, coveting, greed, or adultery, is my point. Meanwhile, in the teachers edition to the Catholic faith, it calls out pornography by name, eliminating even the possibility of this conversation we're having, which, I know, I started it, but why is this conversation possible? I say, because we're supposed to be Catholic. 'Same thing with those Trinity threads, this isn't supposed to be happening.

Supposed to be Catholics???

No, we're having this conversation because you are hobbled by the Catholic Church. You don't know about the liberty we have in Christ Jesus. Hey, I was hobbled for a time myself. The Catholic Church is full of CRAP, and they want you to be so busy looking at all the CRAP that you don't pick up a Bible and read it for yourself. They don't even want you to go to any other church.

You might hear the Word being preached.

They want you to be looking to them for everything. The LAST thing they want is for you to actually read the Word of God for yourselves. Do they encourage any of you to read the Scripture? :chew:

Way less than among other populations who are recently coming to light as fraught with sexual predators? is my first thought.

Nope. Make a bunch of men give up sex and give them young boys to serve at their pleasure. Please.

Incredible that people still buy into that nonsense. I'm sorry, but it's just so wrong.

There is no direct succession. You will find no such thing in the Bible, and it goes directly against the teaching of Paul. Those who serve in the church are to serve, and they are to be recognized as elders by the members of the assembly. Husbands of one wife, etc.

These are spiritual gifts...some teachers, some pastors, etc.....for the work of the ministry and edifying of the body. You can't pass down spiritual gifts.
Eph. 4:11-12 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
The imposition of hands is in the Scripture, both the Apostles doing it, and the Apostles advising bishops on them doing it subsequently. That's not made up, it's right in the Bible, that's succession.

All men sin and come short of the Glory of God. Doesn't the Catholic Church teach that?
Of course I believe that. And if my prey believes it, all the better, but what if they don't believe they're sinners? What does it matter to them that the Lord died for their sins, they don't even believe in sins, it's like saying that He will kill all the ghosts living in their closet and under their bed. These people still must be able to be fished, though.

Catholic interest in Scripture is growing over the long-term, in my estimation, I don't know if it's true on a large scale. Catholics themselves are becoming more evangelical over the long-term, which is in accord with the Church's "New Evangelism." Plus, Protestant conversions are importing the typical deep and very personal regard for Scripture that Protestants can have, into Catholic communion, so in my judgment, her evangelization potential is growing. Protestant converts can usually in short order bring a lot of value to the communion.*
