It isn't government's job to provide healthcare. Friends, family and churches should step up to help others.
After the summit, Obama quickly added that he was proceeding regardless of what anyone thinks. I wonder why they all joined him--that was bottom line wasn't it? :idunno:

I think the Republicans had to show up after the challenge to attend ... but I guess they hoped that the American people would be astute enough to see what was going on. I've heard that the President may have hope to get some of them to join him in case his plan failed. We won't know about failure until years from now ... and when it is too late to undo anything.
I don't like national health care ... but I am participating in health care provided for state workers. I love my state insurance policy and believe that States might really be able to work something out... for it's employees and for needy people as they require help. At least if a state messed up ... it wouldn't be the whole country.
I sometimes wonder whether our leaders, especially those that are liberals within the Democrat Party, are really enemies of our nation and of our way of life.
