This is superstition, not faith.
Invoking the cross has no power to save. Only by having faith in the Person of Jesus Christ who died on the cross, has the power to save.
Paul writes that the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth (at the time to the Jew first and also to the Greek)
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of
the gospel of Christ: for it
is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Paul declares it here in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV as the gospel "which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved,
1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1 Corinthians 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
And what is that good news?
1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that
Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1 Corinthians 15:4
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Simple stuff to the Bible believer, but not Nang!
