Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham predicted that the Trump administration will “build the wall one way or the other,” and also added a stern political warning for Republicans who refuse to support the president on the issue.
The senator’s comments came during a Wednesday night interview with Sean Hannity. When the Fox News host brought up the topic of border security and President Donald Trump’s “fight for the wall,” he told Graham he was “99 percent certain” the president would use alternative means to complete it absent congressional funding.
“To everybody who’s wondering how this movie ends, it ends this way,” said Graham. “We’re going to build the wall one way or the other.”

Why didn't Trump get funding for the wall during the first 2 years of his administration?
A. Trump never really cared about building the wall in the first place, but Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh forced him to push for it now.
B. Trump really wanted the wall all along, but he just procrastinated in trying to get funding until now for some stupid reason.
C. Trump wanted to wait to demand funding until the Dems won back control of the House after the mid-term elections so he could use it as a wedge issue in Congress.

Liberals find themselves in good company - Trump's own appointed heads of the NAS, CIA and FBI failed to even mention the US/Mexico border as a point of concern in their annual "threats assessments" before Congress!
Just how does this President expect to invoke a "national emergency" on the border when his own intelligence chiefs have dismissed it as a "nothing burger!"

None of the above. He had priorities: Jobs, economy, a hollowed out military... ....and let's not forget that the liars and scum pigs at CNN and on the Left have succeeded in keeping him quite busy dealing with the fake phony Russia Collusion witchhunt.
He probably counted on the Congressional leaders to included it in the budget, which is all that was necessary, and the RINO swamp rats let him down. So he saw this as the only way to get it done before its too late.
It will get done.

Hmmmmm. That's possible, but its a helluva gamble. Its arguable whether or not it worked in the mid-terms. We did win the Senate,, but we lost the House. Based on history, that's a win, but not one I would shout about.

Remember, for Trump, it's not about reality. It's about finding a way to prop up his huge and delicate ego.

So what. They have nothing to do with Border enforcement,
By invoking 10 U.S.C. section 284 which gives the president and the Defense Department the power to build the wall.
Section 284 provides that the Secretary of Defense “may provide support for the counter-drug activities or activities to counter transnational organized crime” by measures that can include the “construction of roads and fences and installation of lighting to block drug smuggling corridors across international boundaries of the United States.”
While negotiating for a full wall, which requires congressional authorization, he could proceed to construct the section 284 wall in drug corridors. And if this is challenged in court then the president, the DEA and the DOD can provide evidence that the locations for the wall are, indeed, drug corridors, and the construction should be allowed to proceed.

Nope. Trump was sabotaged by the RINO GOP never-Trumpers, of which there were a lot at first but not so many now. Ryan was a fraud - he never had Trump's back.
This should have simply been an item in the budget. A crappy 5 billion is peanuts compared to what we spend on other stuff. Ryan should have added it to a previous budget and that should have been it. But he didn't
Also, When Trump was elected he probably did not start immediately thinking about losing the House in two years and about rushing to get everything done in two years just in case. It got put off while bigger fish were being fried, and Ryan never inserted it into the budget.
The Democrats offered to support legislation in January 2018 that would have provided $25 billion for "THE WALL" in return for a path to citizenship for DACA/Dreamers!
The "Great Negotiator" turned it down, but the revised conservative version of history will shift all the blame to those dastardly "RINO GOP never-Trumpers" hiding under the beds!
Shame on them for not informing the President that elections in America are held every 2 years, and shame on Mexico for not volunteering to pay for Trump's WALL!
