No assumptions on the wood? Did he use some kind of salve to put on the burns? What about that lamb slain before the foundation of the world in the city called spiritual somthing ? The kingdom of God is where? And that clause in Act 17:24 about not dwelling in some temples but you know better than the Spirit.

Slain before the foundation of the world should be written as:

Revelation 13:8(a) All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast---all whose names have not been written from the creation of the world in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain.

Jesus wasn't slain before he was slain.

What kind of wood did Jesus build the fire out of to baptize with? So the new covenant is a mix of temporal things that are corruptable and eternal things that are not? Sounds like you will be wearing soiled garments.

One of his like-minded comrades, also a "Mid-Actor", made that point about literal fire just the other day, using the battle of Armageddon, (literal physical global conflagration interpretation of course), as a coming fiery "purification" of the world being engulfed in the fiery flames of the vengeance of Almighty God, ("for not believing in Jesus", but what about those who have not believed in the past two thousand years? No Armageddon for them because of their disbelief?). They believe and teach the very recent traditions of their esteemed Bible scholars, such as Hal Lindsey and Chuck Misler, that all of their favorite prophetic WAR and DEATH scenarios are finally going to be deliciously fulfilled in a satellite televised jaw dropping shock and awe literal physical World War III Armageddon fiery global holocaust war-to-end-all-wars for the oopsy-daisy once-and-final last time, (again), "one day soon, (don't get left behind)", including the slaughter of a full third of all mankind because of a literal physical interpretation of what is written in Rev 9:15, (which would be about two and a half BILLION people at this point in history; but of course they ignore the fact that it says the other two thirds will still not repent). These are the same types of brilliant internet Bible scholars who pay Irvin Baxter $149.99 for the 10CD-set, (including "Satan's Master Plan"), "so that they too can know the future!" Have you ever heard that show? Irvin even tells you that if you buy his collection of CD's you will know more about Bible prophecy than most seminary graduates. :chuckle:

You better hope that what Paul says about that is in error or else you are doomed:

"And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power" (1 Thess.1:7-9).

You can argue that this verse does not speak of literal "fire" but that will not help you any when the time comes!

That speaks of goats, on the left hand side, which are devils and their doctrines: and you better hope you are blessed enough to see and understand it when it happens.

So do you admit that those within the MAD community are right when they say that this will really happen in the future?:

"And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power" (1 Thess.1:7-9).

Act 7:2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,
Act 7:3 And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.
Act 7:4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
Act 7:5 And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

When have I ever said it would not? I have always said that it is personal and individual just as is all of the Gospel; to each in his or her own appointed times, times appointed of the Father, a day that no one knows, but the Father only, (the day when a babe or child becomes a son, Gal 4:1-2 KJV). Until that time you are under tutors, governors, and a schoolmaster to bring you to Messiah; for Messiah is the point aimed at in the Torah. :chuckle:

This is not speaking about each individual's appointed times but instead on the whole group of unbelievers living on the earth at the same time:

"And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power"
(1 Thess.1:7-9).

That same event is described here by the Lord Jesus:

"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth"
(Lk.21:34-35).

Go learn what earth means.

I know exactly what the word "earth" means. Here we see a description in regard to what will happen when judgment will come on the face of the whole earth:

"He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this age. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear" (Mt.13:37-43).

Go learn what the word "world" means.

10And do not complain, as some of them did, and were killed by the destroying angel.

11Now these things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.

12So the one who thinks he is standing firm should be careful not to fall.…

Ah, yes of course, and the Thessalonians were supposed to be watching for "the man of sin to be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he as God sits in the temple of God shewing himself that he is God." And of course, according to your literal-physical material world minded theory, the Thessalonians were supposed to be watching for this to happen in the literal physical temple-building made with hands of men, in the literal physical city of Jerusalem of below, from more than 800 miles away across the Aegean and Mediterranean Sea; without TV, satellites, cell phones, computers, the internet, a telescope, a pair of binoculars, or even electricity! Meanwhile they were right there in the heart of Yavan! (Greece, or as the KJV says in Daniel 8:21, "Grecia", lol).

And of course, according to you Paul lied because it never happened for any of them because it was not an individual event, so they had to wait for your "final generation" to come along. Too bad they could not live two thousand years to see what you might get to see! :chuckle:

This also has been posted to you before Jerry, (and not even that long ago).
This is the teaching of the Master:

As I said and you quoted, it is personal and individual, just as is all of the Gospel; to each in his or her own appointed times, times appointed of the Father, as even Paul says in Gal 4:1-2 KJV, (a day and hour which no one one knows, but the Father only, that is, when a babe or child becomes a son). The Testimony of Messiah refutes your historical dispensational "futurist" minded physical literal "all-at-once" and "one-time-only-fulfillment" theology. The following passage actually concerns the Bema Seat of Messiah, which Paul likewise teaches, (because he found out by way of his own experience which he relates in 2Cor 12:1-4), and it is personal and individual, each in his or her own appointed times:

Luke 19:11-20 KJV
11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear
[parachrema - "instantly in full wealth(glory)"].
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country
to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds,
["earnest of the Spirit", 2Cor 5:5-10 KJV] and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass,
that when he was returned, [Acts 2:1-4 prototype] having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading [2Cor 5:10-11].
16
Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:

Then came the first . . .
Then the second came . . .
And then another came . . .
And so on, and so on, until you yourself are called up . . .

Therefore knowing the terror of the Master we persuade men: for we have been made fully manifest before Elohim, and we are not reprobate-castaways, (for the kingdom of the heavens is like unto a net that was cast into the sea).

And here it is outside the quote box so that it may be quoted:

Luke 19:11-20 KJV
11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear
[parachrema - "instantly in full wealth(glory)"].

And in that day Jerry, Remember Lot's wife:
No one having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of Elohim. :chuckle:

And of course, according to your literal-physical material world minded theory...

If the words of the Lord Jesus in the following passage are not to be understood literally then they must have a different meaning:

"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth"
(Lk.21:34-35).

Give us your interpretation of the meaning of the words of the Lord in that passage.

We could use a good laugh!
